Outside is runned down and not appealing at all. Everytime I have been here there has never been anyone eating, but there has been a bag waiting for someone for takeout. The inside is outdated and not somewhere I would want to have a meal. However, the food quality is excellent, it is always hot and cooked to order. Some of the best food is found where you least expect it. China Palace is such a place. If you want delicious food cook fresh using fresh ingredients, you won't be disappointed. China Palace is owned and operated by a local family. They have been serving food in Hartwell longer than any other downtown restaurant. Friendly people who value their customers. Best egg rolls you will ever eat with a special homemade duck sauce.
