This place is cozy & homey with a flare of country casual. The service was really good. The waitress was attentive to our needs & kept the cups filled without having to be asked. The food, eh; I had the Chili & Cheese with Onion hot dog. It was pretty good, but I believe the chili was canned. It had a good amount of cheese and onions, that those are a plus. We lucked out and stumbled upon this restaurant on chicken and dressing day. It was so good we’ve been trying to plan another trip back to Hartwell just to have it again - but we can’t predict what day it’ll be available!
The food was very good, service was very good, owners were friendly and generous with the portions. The atmosphere is tough to describe because we were the only diners there. The lunch crowd was long gone, we were there just after 2 and they close at 3. So it seemed like a large empty room. We were there for the food, not the ambiance. Will eat there again, no doubt.
