Amazing Mexican food. I had the tamale and enchilada dinner combo, and it was the best I've had in a long time from a restaurant. I tried my husband's rice, and though maybe a little bland, it was still good! Great atmosphere. Seating for inside and covered outside seating.

Great food! Got the LaCabannas Fajitas for 2 most times. Ate inside & out, a band was playing inside at night. Wound up going 5 times during our 7 day trip! Everytime we tried a different place, we were disappointed, and wished we had gone back to LaCabannas. We always went to main restaurant, free parking & across street from river and city river park. They also have a smaller storefront called LaCabanna Express on main street near river crossing. We never ate there yet.

Worst Mexican food I've ever had in my 50 years. Salsa was tasteless - like pure tomato sauce. Everything was out of a can, I'm sure. The tortilla that my burrito was wrapped in was raw, and the chicken was unseasoned and bland. Even the margarita tasted like it came from a can. The whole meal was just gross. We left over half of our food untouched. Don't eat here!!

We have gone here many times throughout the years and have always loved it. The food is always amazing and the waitresses were super attentive and nice. You can sit inside or outside.

I'm on vacation with my family, they recommended this supposedly pet-friendly place to me, I arrived at the place I have government-certified service dogs and they told me I couldn't enter, which is against the law, they wanted me to sit outside in a cold of 35 Fahrenheit, something that seemed absurd to me, I definitely give it a zero for poor attention

I wanted to try the restaurant but since they don't receive a service dog, I would believe that even by law they have to do it when they show their license. If they don't learn from the restaurant next door, they receive a service dog without any problem.

Our food was served before our drinks came out. The fajitas for two were cold and tasted re-heated. We waited 30 min after our meal for our check. It wasn’t a good experience and we were super hungry still.

Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of stairs at rhw front of the building you'll need to park near the back and get acess from the street level to get in by wheelchair. There is parking in the side and back as well just takes longer to get around to the front entrance. No wheel chair ramp in front just alot of stairs.

We were in Helen for a couple days for vacation and I was craving Mexican food and a margarita. I looked up the reviews for this place and it was 4.1 stars which seemed somewhat promising. The atmosphere and service was fine... the food was not. The salsa had the consistency of marinara sauce, the margarita was all mix, and the beef was very low grade. However, the real treat, I say "treat" sarcastically, was the chile relleno that my husband ordered. It was literally a plate of low grade beef with smothered cheese. Once we were able to lift up all the low grade beef layers, we came across a stamp sized piece of what I can only guess was supposed to be the chile. It was almost laughable. I fully recommend this restaurant if you want to be completely disappointed with your meal. But in all honestly, if you come from a place that has decent Mexican food, don't come here.
