DELISH. Had the pretzel (with beer cheese) flown in from Munich -- amazing! Onion soup was surprisingly delicious as well as the Reuben and homemade potato salad (not pictured). EXCELLENT food and great service. Will come again next time we visit!!

Visited earlier today on a day trip to Helen, GA. The menu is posted outside exactly like true Germany! A German restaurant in the US that has Sauerbraten?? You know it’s legit, and that it is. The decor, low ceilings, and seating bring you right back to a Gästhaus in the Alps. The upstairs lounge is probably the closest thing to a German city center pub that hosts its annual “Kerve”. Any rating below 5 comes from someone that has no clue what Germany is and what Germany has given this world in terms of culture and cuisine.

Unsure why this only has hotel options here, but this place serves delicious German food!! It's cozy and very rustic German styled interior. Our group nearly had one of everything and it was all delicious. The Bavarian pretzel was top notch. Get the optional beer cheese too

We stopped in wanting to try some german cuisine while visiting Helen.
I don’t know if we went on an off day or what. The food looked like they heated a hungry man meal up in the microwave and placed it nicely on my plate.
My husbands cheeseburger was clearly microwaved after being cooked for who know how long under a heater.
They did refund us my dinner but we didn’t want to complain too much after that about my husbands burger.
Would not recommend.

Food and drinks: This little place was awesome. Yummy authentic German food. And it’s in air conditioning.
Super tasty German food in a fun atmosphere. The wait staff were super friendly and the restaurant is located right in the center of town, so it’s a convenient lunch stop while you’re visiting Helen. I had the goulash, and while it was not as good as my grandmother’s family recipe, it was still very tasty. This place is definitely worth visiting!
