Great spot by the river for food and drinks. They have a nice seating area and live music. The wings were pretty great. We had hot and lemon pepper. We also had a brat which was tasty.

This used to be my favorite place in Helen, GA. This Sunday we came to watch the NFL game of the year. The server at the front bar turned up the game for us, and the restaurant manager, a little blond lady complained and made him turn down the volume even though we were the only 8 people in the whole place so we couldn't listen to the game. Then at 2pm, the band came on, still no one here but us. Then the band came on with 2 people here besides our party of 8. Then the band came one, sang a few songs and then the band took a 45 minute break they did not need and we missed the whole game. We will never be back and we will tell everyone in Helen, GA and around to avoid this place. This is what happens when you hire the wrong general manager. Such a shame. Have to find a new place in Helen to hang out. This is not the place that caters to thier clients and what band needs a 45 minute break after playing 5 songs. Stay away and avoid this place. Why does the 1 person band need a 45 minute break just to get drunk and wasted

We are in Helen on our 5th trip. Each time we come, we try to get into Paul’s, as it came recommended by a friend a few years ago, and we always have heard big things about it. Each time we tried, there was always a long wait. LONG. Talking at least an hour. Must be good, right? This time in town we got right in. It’s the off season here in Helen. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Firstly, for all the for all the hoopla over the place, I expected to talk in to nice steakhouse. Wrong. Its decor is basic at best. Cheap plastic dollar tree Christmas lanterns on the tables with dollar store battery operated flicker candles that were almost dead. The vibe was disorganized. The seafood smell was overwhelming as someone that doesn’t do seafood. But we sat down, ordered our drinks and waited. I will say my margarita was delicious expect for the gnat my husband fished out of it. Couldn’t find our waitresses to get a new one. His Michelob Ultra was good… in the bottle. I ordered the 8oz filet Mignon, he order the special Prime Rib. Both were ordered medium rare. Mine was delivered rare. You could tell his prime rib had been cut then thrown on a flat grill…which you do not do the prime rib. My filet was grisly. His prime rib was bland. $145 dollars later we left completely disappointed. This place is so overpriced and overrated. Go someplace else. Save yourself the disappointment. Go down the road to Hofbrau house.
Wondering the Christmas busy season $20 to car wanted to go into Pete‘s restaurant Pete was not open until 4 PM so he told us there was a place behind Pete that was called Margaritaville. They had wonderful sandwiches! You got your money refunded if you gave them the ticket when you went to place your order… Sounds like a great deal to me! So we hurried at parked and went inside with a hungry belly… Only to find out you had to order at The window like it was a fast food place… The food was extremely expensive and we got a number and they called when it was talking to you to pick your food up… The food was on the same level as a concession stand at a ball game… And that’s saying it nicely… The hamburger did not even taste like it was real neat… And the chicken sandwich had frostbite taste to it… Cooked you would have a better meal going to the gas station and getting it out of the convenience store cooker in my opinion… Now on the plus side I did see you later in the evening that they all live music and stuff like that outside. I’m sure the alcoholic beverages in the music made it lovely for some people… But like I said, I went to eat lunch And was not expecting to order food at a window by getting a concession stand at the food to be just as bad . The one thing I can say is that the staff was nice… No need in complaining because what are you gonna do? There’s no re cooking that good! I did not even finish eating, and I couldn’t. It was absolutely terrible… That’s just my experience…

Disappointing, over priced sandwich menu. Prime Rib Sandwich was more like a poorly made French dip. Meat was shaved and over cooked. Au ju tasted heavy of salt and no horseradish sauce. Over priced and under perfoming in comparison to the Ruben. Just generally poor quality. Drinks served in cans, music was good but too loud to have a conversation at the table. They describe their meals as baskets, but it was extra for fries.

Perfect place to sit outside, listen to music, watch some football and hang out with friends.
Food is simple bar food. Order at the window and wait for your number to be called.
Go with the refillable mugs for beer - come back at any time for a $12 refill.
If you park at their lot - you get a discount once you go in!

Decent food. You order food and drinks up front and pick up the food when ready. They have a nice choice of food options. Most that we ordered was pretty good. The loaded nachos were the standout and was loaded with chunks of meat. Just don't expect much in the layout of the place. It's very basic with plenty of TVs for watching sports and a live band at the far end.

Not Service Dog friendly. The men in the parking lot would not let us enter. My service dog is fully trained and certified. This is the only place I have not been allowed to enter with him. Go anywhere else in Helen for better service.
The food is awful don’t waste your money.
