Just Celebrated my Birthday Dinner here, a long with my lil Brother and our Parents. The staff were very inviting, also Our Waitress Sam was very knowledgeable and on point, to the point my Wife was impressed as well as myself. The food is absolutely delicious, I had the crispy basil duck, n the Hawaiian roll, wonton soup. We also had the calamari n crab cream wontons for appetizers that were also really delicious. Everyone one my Family including my Father who is not easily satisfied, was more than satisfied with his meal also. If your in Helen or just visiting the areas and you what some amazing food, Friendly people and amazing serious. I definitely recommend this place. The reason I gave it four stars, was due to the fact it was a little to loud my for my wife and father.

This place is not a celiac or gluten allergic friendly. I did initially think that this could be because it is located in a rural area and people may not be accustomed to being mindful about dietary concerns, but it was apparent that other restaurants in Helen were definitely keenly aware about these concerns. Food was also mediocre and was not an enjoyable time overall. I am rating this a 1 stardue to the life threatening health concern that they caused my partner and I.In summary some of the major problems came down to:1. They mislabel their menu. They labeled GF on entrees/sides that were not actually GF.2. Waiters aren’t educated with all the contents of their food and the communication between chef and waiter was not there. My partner was provided tempura in her spicy tuna roll. One bite was enough to put her in a spiral downwards.3. Their food quality was questionable. They came lukewarm (at best) and their rice was mushy and watered down.

Warning to any other customer with celiac or a gluten allergy. I was excited to see it listed on "Find Me GF" because I love Asian cuisine, however, this dinner was a nightmare... I had mentioned to our waitress I had celiac, and she assured me of what items were and were not gluten free/could be modified. I went with her assurance and ordered curry and a spicy tuna roll. The tuna roll came and I was so excited I took a piece and ate it without looking over it 100%...low and behold...tempura flakes.. I already knew my night and the next few days of my trip were ruined from that bite. I told the waitress and within seconds she was BAWLING; not minorly crying, bawling about how sorry she was and how she was worried about me. Now, as the person who ate the food I can't, I am consoling a waitress who just cost me pain for my trip to Helen? I sat there with back-pain, severe bloating, a headache, and nausea for the rest of the dinner while she continued to beg for forgiveness. This is not the point. My point is, how does a restaurant claim to accommodate gluten intolerance/allergy/celiac when the waitress doesn't know that tempura is gluten?... They are clearly not educating their workers on this.What did I get for this? They took the sushi roll off the bill, but there was more of a commotion thrown on behalf of our waitress who was portraying herself as some victim, than for my safety and well-being.That was my BIGGEST complaint, the fact that I got glutened on my vacation because of carelessness/ignorance, but there were other issues as well:1. The egg-rolls were labeled gluten free on the menu, but upon trying to order them, the waitress told me that that label is wrong and they are NOT gluten free... False advertising much?2. The curry was lukewarm at best and the flavor was nothing like real Thai.3. The rice was mushy/ pasty and lukewarm just like the curry.4. They had a couple singing in the corner of the restaurant, speakers full blast, and my LORD it was echoing... I am all for live entertainment, but in an enclosed space where people are trying to converse and dine? Not at all welcoming.Overall, never coming near this place again, and I wouldn't if you have any food allergies/accommodations, because apparently these are not always common knowledge.Dietary restrictions: NOT friendly to dietary restrictions (customer beware)
Just great Thai Food period. Cool artwork on the walls and great staff. The crispy basil duck was perfect and my daughter really enjoyed her Pad Thai. Well worth our drive from Athens to eat some great food.
