Food was raw wouldn’t take it back cause I ate half of one. French fries tasted like they were in old Greece. Will not be back.

Wanted to give this establishment a try. First impression it looked like a cafeteria, cold and uninviting. My husband ordered a Philly sandwich, it was horrible, minced up beef and onions fried to a burnt crisp. Ruben was ok but they forgot the kaurt and they fixed that. Mens Bathroom was disgusting with no hot water. How do employees properly wash their hands? Waitress was fine but food took quite awhile even though only a handful of people were there. It was definitely not worth the price. First and last for us!

This has the best southern buffet I’ve had in a long time . The buffet includes salad bar. The fried Chicken is the best I’ve ever eaten, the meatloaf was mostly meat and not filler, green beans, fried okra and squash corn and even some cooked greens Delicious 😋

We had a party of 5... Placed our orders and waited quite awhile. Finally saw our server and asked her to check on our order. She bought out 3 plates and told us they were out of corned beef and person wasn't back yet. Our friend's food was cold. It seemed like they were waiting to make our sandwiches to serve all of us . The server did comp 2 of our meals.

People were friendly. Service was slow. Buffet looked unappetizing. Coleslaw was dry and nothing but cabbage. Hamburger steak was over cooked and fries were soggy and greasy. Everything was bland and unseasoned. Do not recommend it.

We love the food, friendly staff and cleanliness of Hiawassee Family Restaurant! Always have a great meal and excellent service.

We have ate here many times. The food we order from the menu or from the bar is always good. I can’t wait to go back. Hometown diner at its best!

We had went for dinner around 6:15. We were not told they were closing at 7. We decided to eat the buffet. The young lady told us that the kitchen was closed and they could not cook what was on the menu but they had food to put out for the buffet. The buffet consisted of no chicken, chicken pot pie was dried out and looked disgusting, pinto beans were dried out and the cornbread was so hard you could not eat it. I had never heard of a kitchen being closed. I will not be going back to eat there. We were hoping we would have a good family restaurant to eat at and to go back and have their breakfast buffet but that will not happen. Very disappointed!

Not a great atmosphere, food isn’t good either for the price. I know it’s no Golden Coral or anything but it could have been better. Food was flavorless especially the mashed potatoes. They should listen to the reviews and try to do better. It was just cold feeling, atmosphere, food and attitude. They won’t make it long like that.

Went once ordered a BLT and 1 trip salad bar with an ice tea, Salad bar was very limited and no blue cheese dressing, Blt had one slice of bacon and a small slice of tomato, the worst experience I've had at any restaurant in the towns, union and blue ridge area. my bill was $24. Waitress never came back to the table after bringing the food. except to bring the check. The place just felt and looked dirty. Will not return, food quality and quantity does not match the price they are charging just to begin with.

They've made the right choices as a local restaurant. Food choices that locals want, specials and now a buffet. Keeping it budget friendly with friendly staff and a drive up option. Great spot for a quick bite. Good location.
