We went up here to get some food around 10 pm, and sat at the speaker for almost 10 minutes with no response. we pulled up to the window, had to wait another 5 or so minutes before anyone even came to talk to us. it took about 7-8 minutes for us to get our food after. during that time 2 different cars had the exact same experience but they both ended up leaving due to no service.

The wife and I stopped in after church this past sunday in a rush and we were blown away by how good the food was. We both had double Steakburgers and fries. Love how Steak ‘n Shake uses beef tallow for cooking now. Kiosk ordering was easy. Food came out fast and the customer service was excellent. We will be back.

A soulless dining experience. Order from a screen, scan a code to get your drinks, pickup your own order, and throw your trash away. If this is the future of dining, I do not want it. The kiosk also defaults to include a tip.... for what I have no clue.
The drink machine would not give us our drinks so I had to request a staff member to help, they begrudgingly helped. Several staff members had their pants sagging with underwear hanging out. Not a single person smiled, welcomed us, or said had a good day even after I said hello or have a great day. Everyone looked very miserable who worked there. Cussing was heard from the kitchen constantly during our meal.
The bathroom had a broken toilet that was running non-stop, main bathroom door was stuck open, and the bathroom was dirty.
I will not be returning to Steak 'n Shake until hospitality is brought back.

Drive-thru order, steakburger, fries and a Coke. Requested salt, pepper and ketchup in the bag. Maybe a dozen customers in the restaurant and no other cars in the Drive-Thru, had to wait at least 10 minutes to get the order. An okay burger, cold fries and no salt, pepper or ketchup in the bag. For the last several months the food here has been consistent and hot fries. Evidently they have a new manager so I will be avoiding this place now for several months.

Beef tallow now used here for the fries and you can get a jar for 9.00. Smash burgers are good, fries are good, milkshake is good. Restaurant was clean, staff, well you don't really interact with the staff.
Many people came in to get a refund cause their burger had hair and other stuff in it. Wait time:30-50 min. Food was ready they didn’t want to give it to me. The worker didn’t care about giving us our food

i came in when it was busy on a tuesday afternoon but my fries were horrible and cold and dry which i was looking forward to the beef talow fries they are famous for the burger was also cold and flavorless and I had to wait 10 minutes extra parked out front for a teenager to accidentally give my food to the wrong person then bring it to me cold and bad maybe i will comeback when it’s not busy and i will re-review

This place has one of the worst smells when you walk in I guess the people working there are used to it but i could smell it as soon as i walked in the place it smells like and land fill of old nasty food trash its horrible the service was pretty good the food was ok my burger was undercooked but the milk shakes where good but couldent enjoy it because of the smell i can only imagine the type of bacteria floting in the air
