We were on the way to the safari and wanted barbecue. We went to a place that we chose and I have never been. It was closed for Christmas weekend. Googled barbecue near me and there was Sonny's and Boss Dawg Barbecue. We chose Boss Dawg! The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic! 3 of us got ribs, 1 got a burger, 1 got smoked buffalo wings and 1 got a pulled pork sandwich. It was all great. The ribs fell off the bone. All the sides were good too. Mac and cheese, fries, and coleslaw. Our waitress was one of the owners. She brought us samples of chicken mule and brisket. Both were very flavorful. We will definitely be back!
The fried chicken was the best I have ever had in my life!! It was so amazing I had to ask how they made it. You can't do this at home - you need to come to Boss Dawg! It is absolutely worth your time. Everything I had was wonderful (collards, creamed corn, biscuit) but the chicken was truly exceptional. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. Thanks for a great meal and friendly service!

Their Chicken Mull is amazing. But their customer service is better. I bought 2 quarts on saturday for a family member that has suffered a loss and before I got to Athens Tech I ended up slamming on breaks and the whole bag flew into my floor. So I went back to the resturant to buy more. They graciously gave me a replacement and the paper towels to clean up my car. I dont come often. They dont know me- this wasnt special treatment. This was just how they treat a regular customer. Thank you Boss Dawg!

If you’re looking for delicious comfort food, then Boss Dawg is the place. A quaint and laid-back establishment (indoor and outdoor dining) with incredibly kind & attentive wait staff. Is a place you should try.
My lunch consisted of fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, garden salad, roll and sweet tea all for under $18.
Boss Dawg BBQ exceeded my expectations.
