Eaten here before, and was great. Don't know what is going on. Maybe, just a bad night-

Our dinner here on a Saturday night was one of my top 5 disappointing dining experiences. It takes so much bad for me to complain but it cannot be helped this time. We were seated pretty quickly but it took 15 minutes before a server even acknowledged us. There were only 3 other parties in the restaurant and multiple servers so it wasn't due to them being slammed. Once we were finally waited on the server did get our drinks out pretty quickly. We ordered sushi and hibachi meals. The sushi came out about 15 mins later but all on one plate and we had orders for 3 different people. Not really a problem just made it a bit inconvenient. Hibachi orders took over 30 mins more to come out and then we had to wait 10 more minutes to get the rice. We had to ask for the rice, yum yum sauce, and refills of drinks. I have never been more actively ignored by a server in a restaurant! She was standing at the computer 4 feet away in clear line of vision and hearing so she should have been aware we needed all the things. Finally she offered to get refills taking 3 glasses to the back to refill. Two were sweet tea and one was coke. The glasses were mixed up and tea was put on top of coke and vise versa. Good thing we were family and no one was sick!! The restaurant was never busy and we were never rude only so I cannot imagine what the problems were. The food was over sauced and the steak actually had a weird taste to it. This visit amounted to a $140 meal that wasn't worth $40 or the time we wasted there.

Run down, booths have huge tears in them, floor was filthy and worn. Decor has been up for 20+ years.
Fire hazard - extension cords are running up and down walls everywhere.
Food is a 2 on a scale of 10
Chicken fried rice for example:
White rice, chicken with some sweet sauce poured all over it.
No veggies, no flavor... Etc.

Let me start by saying our waitress was awesome. She was trying her hardest to get us our food and get it made correctly. The sushi chef here was blatantly making our food wrong. We ordered a roll with spicy salmon and white fish on the inside and topped with tuna. I'm not joking you there was no fish on the inside of the first roll, just crunchy. We asked for it to be remade. The second roll came only with white fish and no spicy salmon.... so we sent it back again. By this time we felt so bad for our waitress that we didn't even want the sushi anymore and we had to wait over 40 minutes before we got the sushi roll made as it's advertised.
We went to a sushi place in buckhead a few days after visiting here and got sushi for the exact same price that actually had fish in it.
I would not recommend this place if you are someone who actually wants fish in their sushi.
I feel for the owners of this place, you have to be losing quite a bit of money having a sushi chef like that. If I was the waitress who was helping my table I would have been infuriated.

A surprise in the heart of Jackson. Huge portions and friendly staff. Even a bar. Cozy and comfortable. Free parking right outside.

Sadly the worst hibachi meals we've ever had :/The salmon was tiny and needed a knife to cut it it was so dry. The steak and shrimp was horrible. The hot sake was barely palatable. Kids chicken nuggets seemed microwaved.Everything tasted frozen, smothered in a cheap sauce, and overpriced. $100 to barely eat a quarter of the meal it was so bad.Service was decent, but the food quality is absolutely dreadful and depressing.I don't think it was the cook's fault honestly. Seems more like a cheap owner trying to pass off frozen food to people with no other Japanese dining options.Just drive to another town if you want to actually enjoy the food.
