I was thinking this was a buffet at first but it's not. It's a 1 meat 2 veggies a bread and dessert. The Blackeye peas were so hot they burnt my lips, tongue and inside my mouth. The food was good other than that and the service was really good.

Went in last Thursday with 2 girlfriends for breakfast. One got served and it was 5 minutes before the other one got food. Mine came out about 4 minutes later. Nothing special about eggs, hash browns and bacon . Unfortunately my friend was done eating by the time my food arrived. Unacceptable.

Me and a friend of mine encountered this establishment just last week. After a doctors appointment, we were looking for someplace to have lunch and thought that this place would be perfect since they serve southern cooking. We walked in and immediately the astmosphere of the whole place changed. All the patrons in there stared at us like we had no business even walking in. We noticed that there were ONLY caucasian people eating and working in there. We did not feel welcomed and were not even asked if we could be served. Based on the negative energy we were receiving at the time, we promptly walked out of the café. We venture to the McDonald’s down the street and we’re informed that this place is known for that type of behavior. We were from out of town so we had no idea. I thought we were in 2026, not stuck on the 1950’s. I would advise any POC not to frequent this place in the future.

The Lunch Box is a large breakfast/brunch restaurant that has a nice old world cafe feel... Staff is friendly, but sometimes lacks consistency in working together for optimal efficiency... Food is homestyle and great tasting... Prices are very reasonable... Check em out!!!

I went in with my grandkids today took forever to get waited on. They must not like new customers just their old customers the waitress didn’t even ask if the kids want any kind of sauce with their chicken strips. The mashed potatoes was instant on the bar the cornbread was cold. I don’t know if the waitresses are working for tips or what but my waitress never come back and check and see if I needed more tea or if we needed any damn thing it was one of the worst place. I’ve been to eat at in a long time.

Absolutely amazing spot! They have a menu you can order from or a hot bar you can choose from. The employees were so nice and down to earth. The food was sooooo delicious! Make sure you stop by here asap!

The fried chicken (fresh from the kitchen) was hot and juicy with a perfect crispy breading. The rest of our food (hamburger steak and sides) were cold and bland. Staff was friendly.

Instant mashed potatoes and the green beans did not taste like any pork was used to season them! We are in the south.... if it tastes like a bean and not fat back, you have failed!!
