First of all, I rarely post reviews unless an experience is notable, one way or the other. Usually they are very positive reviews. This was my first time eating from Annie’s. I looked them up online where the menu indicated prices for all items. I called ahead and ordered a plate with meat + 3 sides, which showed a price of $8.50.
A menu at the register when I picked up my order showed same plate as being $1.00 higher, now up to $9.50. Then, when my meal was totaled on register, it was another $0.50 more for the plate, now up to $10.00.
The fried chicken was very bland and dry. Could not blame it on time of day, as I was there at 11:30 a.m. just as lunch service was getting started. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant and also had no flavor, other than the gravy on top. The turnip greens were tolerable, but with little to no additional seasoning during heating. The pinto beans were the only thing, other than the minuscule cornbread muffin, that were flavorful. The iced tea was very good but at $4 a cup, I should have asked for no ice.
I was treating myself to a meal I didn’t have to cook. I’ll stick to my own kitchen, rather than play pricing games for bland food.

No mac and cheese and they gave me bread pudding for the conflict, but it wasn't any bread pudding I would eat. Bad experience unfortunately.

Sausage biscuits are out of this world. Chicken biscuit on he other hand is awful. It's a rubbery processed patty that has no flavor, I mean none. I didn't even taste chicken. Order that at your own risk.

Do not go here to eat, unless it’s breakfast, and you are very hungry. The lunch food was bad and the cleanliness was even worse. Dirty tables abounded with half-eaten food. The cherry cobbler desert was awful. Imagine a below average cobbler scrambled, and served lukewarm warm. Yuck! The only good thing you can say about Annies is that it’s cheap. And even then it’s overpriced!!
