We had a wonderful dinner at 80 Ocean. The gluten-free menu is excellent, and they’re very accommodating—happy to modify dishes if needed. I had a side salad and the redfish, which came with creamed corn and mushrooms. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We also shared the gluten-free meatballs and GF rolls—both were fantastic!

My husband ordered the crab cakes (not gluten-free) and the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which he really enjoyed.

The ambiance was lovely, especially with the outdoor seating near the pool area we were just inside the doors in a small nook that was quaint. A special shoutout to the kind young man opening the front door—he was a delight. We ended up having a great conversation with him while waiting for our hotel shuttle, and it meant a lot, especially since he was working on the 4th of July.

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs, though he seemed a bit rushed and not overly friendly. It was a busy holiday, so we completely understand and appreciate the service regardless.

Highly recommend 80 Ocean for a relaxing and accommodating dining experience on Jekyll Island.

Very loud inside! We did have a table outside. However our biggest complaint we waited over an hour for our dinner that came cold and VERY UNAPPETIZING!! My husbands fish was a little under cooked and Small portions. I was happy I ordered snap peas but was a horrible experience overall! Portions are small and definitely not worth it!

This was by far the nicest restaurant on the island. The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance through OpenTable, as it’s a popular spot and well worth the visit.

Food was ridiculously overpriced for the amount that they give you. I left still hungry while paying $25 for an overcomplicated, tiny meal. Tasted about the same as if I had made steamed spinach and Little Green Giant broccoli and cheddar bites that I feed my toddlers. It needed salt and pepper but there was none at the table. The waitress was nice, but I honestly don't see how this place can even keep functioning. The atmosphere was a bit sad and bland. There are much better places to eat on the island. Wasted $80 on a meal for two. Would not recommend.

We ordered New York steak. Medium. Our meat was cooked very well, juicy and delicious. The environment is very nice.👌👌

Nice restaurant. Wasn't crowed at all during lunch. Menu was limited. Staff was great!

Restaurant is in a resort, very nice. We sat overlooking the pool area and dunes in a screen area with fans. Wait staff was outstanding and the food was wonderful.

As a resident of 20 years I finally came across the absolute worst meal I have ever had on this island. Yesterday, I met some off Island of friends and together we decided to try this new restaurant. I have never been one to be shocked over price- that is until yesterday. And by the same token I've never had a meal. That was so horrible that I couldn't eat. So I ordered my $24 piece of fish and five free french fries and when it arrived there was a glimmer of hope because the fish didn't look very large and very edible. That is until I tried to work my way through the battery. That was difficult to say the least because it was extremely thick . Once I got in to where the fish was I found nothing special but passable. I wish you could have seen what I had to leave on the plate. As I looked at the remaining crust of the fish, I conjured up a vision of maybe taking it home I'm using it as a planter for flowers. Anyway, I am not a picky person when it comes to food. As a person with a military pass I have eaten earthworms, grasshoppers, even dried a snake one time. I would be hard-pressed to ever again choose that fish dish over any of the above. Oh yes, and my two friends settled for a $20 grilled cheese sandwich with a half of a handful of salad.. should you choose to eat there, I hope your meal is more satisfied than mine was. Happy New Year.

I was dining by myself and as opposed to seating me at a table the hostess was rather dismissive and had me go to the bar.
I was fine with the bar but it seemed the bar staff was not completely receptive to serving dinner at the bar.
I ordered the warm olives and never received the olives. I asked to go slowly but was rushed through and the service was disjointed.

I think the bar staff as well as the hostess and likely the manager should be retrained in how to offer quality service that matches the product and ambience being offered.

As a contrast I also dined at The Wharf and although more casual the quality of service was much better.

We dined here for the first time in early December. The food was superb but what was exceptional was our server, Edgar: We mentioned a food allergy and he was proactive about everything we were served reiterating what was safe for the person impacted. Kennedy, the manager was especially attentive and friendly as well. It's so refreshing to experience great food and exceptional service. We'll definitely be back.

Last evening we experienced a terrific evening at Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar. The reservation process was easy, the greeting staff was welcoming and very nice even though we arrived 10 minutes late. Our table staff (Riley) was kind, knowledgeable, attentive, and lovely responding to questions and requests during the evening. She even reached out to the Chef on questions we had ... prompting him (Chef Hector Rosano) to actually take the time to come to our table to chat and going the extra mile to email us his quick process for preparing a particular element of his entree.

They all fit the pieces of an extremely wonderful evening with 4 friends perfectly. All four entrees were absolutely deliciously different and tasty --- I will definitely mark this as a regular place to visit. Thank you for an outstanding evening.

Tried something new called "gnudi" which was not impressive. Tiny portions and additional spinach after already served a salad. Also some surprise slivers of jalapeño that weren't mentioned on the menu was not a bonus. Another surprise $4.80 "banquet & service charge" on a $24.00 bar tab assures that I won't be returning to this establishment. Nonsense fees like this are an immediate turn-off that demonstrates sheer greediness and takes advantage of unsuspecting customers. Had I noticed the service fee, I wouldn't have included an additional 20% gratuity.
