Salmon was a bit dry. The mushroom risotto was very tasty but the contrast of warm mushroom on cold risotto served I guess as a salad was not really a good mix.

My family came here to celebrate our wedding, and this place was the right choice. Staff was on their A game and very friendly. When my husband's steak came out medium well instead of med rare, it was quickly whisked away, and it's replacement was brought by who we assume was the manager on duty with an apology. Other than that, the food was lovely, the drinks were tasty, and the ambience was exactly what we wanted: a bit refined without being stuffy. Would definitely choose again.

My wife and I went there in the late afternoon. All across Jekyll Island they advertised a happy hour. They even had the pamphlets in the hotel lobby stating such.

We sat at the bar and we're rudely informed they discontinued their happy hour. We showed the bartender the advertisement, but again we were rudely informed no happy hour.

They should initiate one, for the place was totally empty.

We left and spent our money elsewhere.

It was me and my family’s first time going to Eighty Ocean. While my steak came out a bit more well than I wanted, the chef was ready to make it right, and brought out a replacement steak in such a timely manner. Faith was the manager on duty and was extremely personable, as was the rest of the staff we interacted with. Our server was Nicole and she checked on us multiple times throughout the night, gave good meal suggestions and was very communicative, especially since we had a member of our party with an allergy. All in all, they left such a good first impression. My mother and I will absolutely be returning to dine here again.

We had a wonderful dinner at 80 Ocean. The gluten-free menu is excellent, and they’re very accommodating—happy to modify dishes if needed. I had a side salad and the redfish, which came with creamed corn and mushrooms. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We also shared the gluten-free meatballs and GF rolls—both were fantastic!

My husband ordered the crab cakes (not gluten-free) and the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which he really enjoyed.

The ambiance was lovely, especially with the outdoor seating near the pool area we were just inside the doors in a small nook that was quaint. A special shoutout to the kind young man opening the front door—he was a delight. We ended up having a great conversation with him while waiting for our hotel shuttle, and it meant a lot, especially since he was working on the 4th of July.

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs, though he seemed a bit rushed and not overly friendly. It was a busy holiday, so we completely understand and appreciate the service regardless.

Highly recommend 80 Ocean for a relaxing and accommodating dining experience on Jekyll Island.

Very loud inside! We did have a table outside. However our biggest complaint we waited over an hour for our dinner that came cold and VERY UNAPPETIZING!! My husbands fish was a little under cooked and Small portions. I was happy I ordered snap peas but was a horrible experience overall! Portions are small and definitely not worth it!

This was by far the nicest restaurant on the island. The service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious—every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance through OpenTable, as it’s a popular spot and well worth the visit.

Food was ridiculously overpriced for the amount that they give you. I left still hungry while paying $25 for an overcomplicated, tiny meal. Tasted about the same as if I had made steamed spinach and Little Green Giant broccoli and cheddar bites that I feed my toddlers. It needed salt and pepper but there was none at the table. The waitress was nice, but I honestly don't see how this place can even keep functioning. The atmosphere was a bit sad and bland. There are much better places to eat on the island. Wasted $80 on a meal for two. Would not recommend.

We ordered New York steak. Medium. Our meat was cooked very well, juicy and delicious. The environment is very nice.👌👌

Nice restaurant. Wasn't crowed at all during lunch. Menu was limited. Staff was great!

We had dinner. The food was delicious. The meat and fish were cooked very well and it was a nice experience. The desserts were wonderful.

Restaurant is in a resort, very nice. We sat overlooking the pool area and dunes in a screen area with fans. Wait staff was outstanding and the food was wonderful.

As a resident of 20 years I finally came across the absolute worst meal I have ever had on this island. Yesterday, I met some off Island of friends and together we decided to try this new restaurant. I have never been one to be shocked over price- that is until yesterday. And by the same token I've never had a meal. That was so horrible that I couldn't eat. So I ordered my $24 piece of fish and five free french fries and when it arrived there was a glimmer of hope because the fish didn't look very large and very edible. That is until I tried to work my way through the battery. That was difficult to say the least because it was extremely thick . Once I got in to where the fish was I found nothing special but passable. I wish you could have seen what I had to leave on the plate. As I looked at the remaining crust of the fish, I conjured up a vision of maybe taking it home I'm using it as a planter for flowers. Anyway, I am not a picky person when it comes to food. As a person with a military pass I have eaten earthworms, grasshoppers, even dried a snake one time. I would be hard-pressed to ever again choose that fish dish over any of the above. Oh yes, and my two friends settled for a $20 grilled cheese sandwich with a half of a handful of salad.. should you choose to eat there, I hope your meal is more satisfied than mine was. Happy New Year.
