LOVE SHACK BBQ SHRIMP & YARD BIRD

No matter what anyone says, this is one of the best places on the Georgia coast for fried shrimp. Oysters are fabulous. Just great seafood!

Absolutely gem of a place in Jekyll island. Tucked away in Jekyll Market, this small unsuspecting place produces some high quality food. Evelyn and Dawson were working that day and showed us nothing but kindness and generosity! We got the pulled pork and yard bird with some mozzarella sticks and everything was spectacular. Definitely worth the stop while on the island.

This was amazing, the food was insanely fresh and the service was incredible. Though the selection is small, the quality of the food is as fresh as can be. Would recommend 10/10!

Ordered some seafood, BBQ sandwich, and Brunswick stew. Young lady at the pickup window seemed a bit rude. She needs to work on her people skills. My family went back to the hotel to eat and noticed the young lady forgot to pack my BBQ sandwich. I even asked her if she packed the sauces for my sandwich and she rudely said it’s in there….they were not. Fried seafood was ok. Brunswick stew was…well…we hated it. One of the older ladies, who prepared the foods, had colds like a runny nose and coughing. She did not wear any gloves or even wash her hands after working the register.

My wife and I eat here almost every time we go to Jekyll Island. The Brunswick stew is amazing, and the sweet potato fries are always tender and perfectly seasoned. This is what you should expect from a small, family restaurant. It has a limited menu, but everything is going to be delicious.

Great shrimp po boy sandwich with nicely sautéed hibachi vegetables. Our server was very polite and attentive. Nice outdoor seating in the shade.

I had the chicken fingers, crispy on the outside but chewy/dry inside, fries were good. Hubby had pulled pork bbq and mac and cheese, says it was very good. If you're looking for fried foods and comfort food, then this is for you, if you're looking for veggies, then nope, not for you.

Whenever we are on the island we love to come here. The service is always friendly and the food is hot and fresh. I am gluten free and although limited I can still eat there and have not had any issues.

Tucked in a lively market on the island this is a must stop for delicious Georgia shrimp whenever in the area. So tasty with light breading. The cole slaw was fresh and crunchy. Good price too !
