The meat needed more seasoning and/or a better marinade. I had to use to fixings to bring out the flavor. The beans were good. Tasted like Goya black beans….IYKYK. I don’t know what’s going on what the white rice instead of Mexican rice but I didn’t entertain it. Very much lots of potential. Someone just needs to get it together with the seasoning. My husband and I arrived during the slow time, so I can’t discuss how service would be during a busy rush.We ordered calamari to start, which was really good. Pictures will be included on all dishes. The plating was nicely done and the flavors were well complimented.I ordered for my main dish the mahi taco and the shrimp taco. The mahi taco fell short on flavor. I’m not sure if the fish was seasoned before cooking, but all I could taste was the sauce that was very mayonnaise-sy. It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t great. The shrimp taco was really good! It redeemed the mahi taco. The flavor profile was good; the shrimp was well seasoned. I would order this again, but not the mahi, unfortunately.My husband ordered the taco de lengua and the costra de asada. The taco de lengua was good and tasted authentic. The seasoning was great and the meat was tender. A definite re-order. For the costra de asada this one fell short for him. The cheese was overwhelming. This is not one he would order again.Looking at the whole picture, service, price, atmosphere, food quality, and cleanliness of the establishment I give them 4 out of 5 knives ?

Craving Mexican food and drinks check out the Mayas Mexican Kitchen and Cantina restaurant on Medlock Bridge. We dined at 5:30p.m and ate the Chicken Fajita, Chicken and Shrimp Tacos for Dessert the Tres Leches Cheese Cake.The staff was good and Orders came took some time. On arrival, free chips and salsa were provided to the table. The salsa was not spicy. Fajita and tacos were good. The vegetable bed on the Fajita was cooked to perfection. Corn Tortillas were good. Tres Leches Cheesecake is something I would not order next time I dine in.

Came here twice and loved it came in tonight and I'm not sure if they were having a bad night or what. We ordered steak tacos on corn tortillas and got flour tortillas instead, the steak was also cold. My Coca Cola was flat and I let our server know but she never brought me a new one. Queso came after our meals. When we went in to pay for what we had on the table the manager tried to charge us for the tacos we didn't even get after sending them back to correct the order. Not sure if I'll give them another shot after this, there's too many other great Mexican restaurants for that kind of service, it would be different if they acted like they wanted to make it right but instead gave us a hard time.

I was in John's Creek to watch the fireworks on July 3rd there and was craving some Mexican food before hand. I looked on Google and found this place. It looked like it had decent reviews so decided to check it out. It was all downhill from there. We got the obligatory chips and salsa and the salsa had no flavor or spice. The chips were okay. Next I ordered a Texas Margarita that has orange juice in it and it tasted very sour like they put old orange juice in it. To the waiter's credit, when I told him he brought me another one and it was better. We ordered for dinner a vegetarian quesadilla and chicken fajitas. Both dishes were extremely bland and had zero flavor. I don't think they even seasoned it and there was no salt at all. We had to ask the server for some salt to add and that couldn't save it. I hate to write negative reviews for local small businesses but I feel like the owner needs to know what's going on, hopefully fix it and warn other people to not waste your hard earned money at a place where you get a satisfactory meal. I would give it one start but giving it two stars because our waiter was nice and friendly. It's the back of the house that needs to be fixed.

Love this restaurant! It's located in my neighborhood and I practically live here! Very mom and pop! The owner always comes to our table to say hi. Service is outstanding! Food is amazing! Drinks are delicious! Definitely recommend! 10/10!!!

Absolutely amazing food!! We’ve been everywhere, my wife is Latina, this is by far the Best Mexican food in Georgia. They make their own EVERYTHING. It’s all fresh. The tacos are outstanding, fresh veggies and homemade tortillas. Freshly squeezed lime juice is the only way to make margaritas and that’s exactly how they do it. It’s family owned and the staff could not be better. Glad we found this place, get here ASAP!!!

We were patient, then a family came and all of a sudden no wait, menus and service for them. I asked what was the problem and no apology just..oops! So bad!
