I’m a southern girl the barbecue was not bbq’ n at all. This was this worst I’ve ever ate and it made my sons stomach ache. The macaroni was the worst.

My husband and I use to go to Big Ed's when he was in Riverdale. We went to his new location today and ordered a pulled pork sandwich, 3 rib bone sandwich and a half a slab. I couldn't see the pull pork under the bun. The portion size is for a kid's meal. The ribs were tough not tender. I will not be visiting this location again.

We’ve had Big Ed’s a couple of times before he moved and the food was always great. The food from this visit was awful. We ordered two pull pork dinners and a rib tip dinner with two lemonades. It came out to $44. Each plate came with two sides. We had the same sides Mac and cheese and baked beans. The Mac and Cheese was hard and barely edible. The baked beans were straight out the can. And the lemonade was Country Time with no sugar added. We didn’t wait long and it was obvious that nothing was that fresh. I would have given the pull pork a pass until I chewed something rubbery. We will never go again.

I went there for the 1st time and the BBQ was dry, the Cole slaw didn't have any flavor, and Big Ed did not seem to be very friendly. He has some interesting pics on the walls tho.

Had to wait at the counter 10 minutes. Tried being patient but when the guy never turned around to say “one second ma’am “ or better yet I’ll be with u soon.... I said “hello” and that’s when he said one minute. It was actually 10 minutes later. The sun was beaming down and he didn’t even apologize for the extended wait. It’s almost impossible to support black owned business because they truly remind you why you should just go to Sonny’s bbq.

I'm so disappointed in the potato salad, It doesn't taste homemade, taste store bought. I couldn't imagine a Bbq joint not making their sides from scratch. Very disappointing

Disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options. Went to order at 5pm, there wasn't much available so I just left and went to someone grilling on the side of the road.

I, didn't get what I wanted and although I was trying to meet in the middle since he already chopped the chicken in so many words he said no, then told the young man to give me 4 slices of bread when it clearly stated on the menu the sandwich comes with tomatoes, cheese, onions etc. I got home and tried the chicken only since he didn't make the sandwich I wanted and it was terrible ( probably would have been better in a sandwich that i ordered from the menu!). So I went ahead and tried the baked beans which are just canned baked beans nothing added to it. Very disappointed first visit I won't be back that's what i get for cheating on hookah bbq.
