Loved it here!! So welcoming, delicious and a fun atmosphere!! The portion sizes are HUGE !! DEFINITELY coming back!!! 😃
Our family was traveling south on 75 to Florida and looking for a unique place for lunch. We stumbled upon the Whistle Stop and realized it was the original Whistle Stop from the Fried Green Tomatoes movie! We took a small 10 minute detour to Juliette, GA and had lunch. We signed ourselves on the list on the porch and waited to be called. It was a Monday afternoon at 12:00, so it was about a 45 minute wait. However it is nestled in an adorable little town with lots of antique and shops so killing time was fun and went by quickly. Obviously we started off with some fried green tomatoes and they were the best I've ever had! We had the Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak and a concoction of steak/mashed potatoes topped with a tower of Onion rings. we tried as many sides off the menu as we could but they had a LOT of options for sides. Sweet Tea was exactly what you want from a Georgia town! We also really enjoyed all of the movie memorabilia and it was exciting to see the stone BBQ pit out back! It is a busy place (but its understandable bc it is a smallish place with only so much room!) But WELL WORTH the wait! This will be a new spot on our travels!
Very good! Fried green tomatoes hit the spot. I got the fried green tomato sandwich. 10/10 my Husband got the country fried steak he said it was classic southern Cooking. The tea was perfect too!
One of my favorite lunch spots!!
Nothing open on Mondays and tuesdays.
I love the extraordinary sandwich so much. The service was amazing especially the boss lady was so friendly and attentive.
Had a wonderful experience here. The chicken however was a little dry and bland but everything else was great
my sister and I visited today. we drove 3.5 hours for a bucket list visit. the staff was outstanding! and the food was even better! everything came out steaming hot (literally steaming), huge portions, and delicious! Fried Green Tomatoes was a favorite movie of ours growing up. and our visit rekindled that live of the movie!
This place is definitely making money on the movie name alone and not the food. The food is horrible. Instant mashed potatoes and canned vegetables. The fried green tomatoes were crunchy on the outside and hard in the inside. I do not recommend!
Food and atmosphere are amazing!!!!! Definitely a family favorite!!! The employees are friendly and down to earth!!!

Just excellent food, it’s that simple. Great atmosphere, the wait staff was excellent, nothing to improve on.

The place has an amazing atmosphere. However there were a few things I think should be said so people are aware. If you order soda, you are brought a can of soda and a cup of ice. You pay per can no free refills on soda. Now if you get tea or water there are free refills. They did not tell us this upfront..which I think they should....so we switched from soda to tea. I ordered a country fried steak but returned it...it wasn't steak inside...it's a breaded hamburger and had a gamey taste to it. The lady switched it for me and was so nice about it! Their fried chicken strips are THE BEST I have ever had so I definitely recommend getting those! I do not like tomatoes at all...but those fried green tomatoes were amazing!
