I planned my trip around Whistle Stop Cafe on my trip back home to Florida. I left Ohio at 5:30 AM to have plenty of time to have dinner there. I got "stuck" in traffic for four hours, unable to get to the cafe as planned. Went to take pictures and the manager, Colby, saw me outside taking photos and asked if he could help me. Had fried green tomatoes for the first time and they were fantastic! The kids were lame and went with the Yard Bird Tenders. I decided to go all in with the Blue Plate Special, which was basically a sampler of every BBQ meat on the menu. And Brunswick stew. We sat at the counter; our lady was amazing. We only had to wait 45min to an hour. The antique folks across the street said the wait can be 3-4 hours. !!! Make sure you keep that in mind when planning your trip.

We stopped at The Whistle Stop Cafe for lunch while passing through Georgia. I've always wanted to eat there. I loved the movie Fried Green Tomatoes so it was neat eating at the place a lot of it was filmed at. It's a nice area. The cafe is a sweet looking spot.
