We stopped by for lunch while traveling through Georgia. Food was fantastic! The chicken was seasoned and spiced just right and crispy but juicy. Macaroni was very good as well as the coleslaw and okra. 10/10 recommend! Service was also very friendly. I wish we had a location in Kentucky!

The staff was great. However, I purchased some pie and the crust tasted like a gross fridge. I could tell it’s been sitting out or something. With the being said, the fries and okra were great.

My granddaughter ordered the two piece dark meal and her chicken leg was raw on the inside. They did cook her another one , but we were all finished eating by the time it as brought out..we also ordered a piece of the chocolate chess pie and it was heated in the microwave ( I assume) . The crust was so soggy and the pie was probably the worst we have ever had . We usually LOVE Gus’s fried chicken, but left feeling extremely disappointed. Also , $90 for four people to eat fried chicken may explain why we were the only people in there ??

I live in Birmingham and enjoy Gus's there so I was super excited when I passed by the restaurant in Kennesaw. Unfortunately it was a huge let down. The chicken was bland!!!! Usually their chicken is spicy and full of flavor. The coleslaw had big chunks of cabbage in it, whichtells me the cook is inexperienced or just lazy. I'm still a fan of Gus's, I just won't go back to the one in Kennesaw.

While the interior is reminiscent of a good old fashioned BBQ joint, (complete with checkered tablecloths) it almost has a vibe of not being fully finished yet. While there are a few wall-hung pieces of art and such, they're a bit sparse.But then, one doesn't go to a restaurant to enjoy the decor, does one?The food itself is top notch, and while the price points are... let's go with "ambitious"... Once you have your first few bites, though, the price is much more worth it. The fried okra is perfection. The fried chicken looks, crunches, and tastes like mom used to make.The service is prompt, friendly, and rather pleasant company. (Shout-out to Anna!)
