I stopped by for lunch and it did not disappoint. I got a 2 piece lunch special The sweet tea was just like I like it, the catfish was fried perfect, hushpuppies were delicious and the onion rings were the best. I also purchased a fried strawberry pie, a bottle of their signature seasoning, and a chocolate chip cookie. I'll definitely be back soon. The sweet lady at the counter gave me a sample of the collard greens and I'll be having that with okra and mac next time.

DoorDash order 9/14/24 I ordered the 2 Pc. Catfish & 2 Pc. Chicken Combo with green beans and steak fries. The fish was salty and a bit overcooked. The chicken tasted like it was tossed around in salt for days and I could not eat it. It would have been nice if they had reserved some of the salt for the green beans which were not seasoned at all. The fries were the best thing on the plate. I also ordered Peach Cobbler. I wish I saved the $5. This was one of the most disgusting things I ever tasted. It looked a mess and tasted like nothing, but somehow nasty. I've ordered here several times and it's been hit and miss. They will not get me again.

I got the butterfly shrimp plate with onion rings and hush puppies. The onion rings were good. The shrimp breading was panko, but it was so thick I couldn’t taste the shrimp and just peeled off the breading. The shrimp inside was minuscule. I should have ordered the other shrimp they sell by the 1/2 lb. They looked to be battered like the onion rings, in a beer batter type of coating. That was nice. The rest of the family had catfish which was reported to be good. One of the kids had chicken tenders and devoured them. Their cobbler was not all that great. Fried pies were good. Skip the cheesecake - nothing special and a small portion for the price. Lava cake was also not well received. We wanted to love this place and the ladies in the kitchen were a hoot and great to us, but the food left something to be desired. The standout though were the pork rinds - we enjoyed those all the way home and I’d stop by there to grab an order again in the future, they were that good. We ate takeout, as we arrived close to closing time, so I didn’t rate the atmosphere. Located at an old Huddle House location.

Called in for a take-out order because I was craving fried fish and I'm glad it did.
Cooked fresh indeed, the catfish was flaky and fried to perfection. The onion rings were sweet and crunchy without the excess oil you get at other restaurants. And the Mac & Cheese was creamy smooth.
Will definitely order again, or sit down for a meal, in the future!

The food is excellent and I can see myself for sure coming back. Only drawback was rudeness from the woman taking my order. It was so off putting that I almost wanted to ask for someone else to take my order but then another woman who gave me my food to go was super kind and I thought she was great. I’m sure management is aware of who this person is and I didn’t get a name and I don’t think I would leave a name here even if I did, but that is the type of thing that leaves me tempted to leave a 1 or 2 star review but I am leaving a higher review just because the food is excellent and the second person I interacted with was great.
