2 stars because this place USED to be good. My family and I went there nearly every week. HOWEVER, I don't know if it's under new management, or if they had policy changes, but it has gone WAY downhill. More expensive, lots of service issues, all around less quality. The last straw was ordering a margarita with no rim. Of course it arrives with salt, so I send it back. Normally, no big deal, just remake it. Except they don't. I watch them pour it into another glass, taking half the salt rim with it. Just poor service. After years of going there regularly, I think we give up.

I’m deeply concerned by the behavior of the new manager. In my experience, they were disrespectful and needlessly aggressive, particularly toward women and children which is completely unacceptable in any public setting.

What’s even more troubling is the sudden spike in 5-star reviews (10 in the last few hours), which feels like an attempt to bury honest feedback instead of addressing real concerns. Manipulating reviews won’t make the problem disappear accountability and a sincere apology are what’s needed.

Customers deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed properly.

I’ve been to La bamba a couple of times and everytime I’ve entered, I’ve been greeted graciously by all the employees! They always make sure to check up on me and get me everything I would need to enjoy a nice lunch, or dinner. The food there is quite enjoyable but the drinks there are certainly spectacular! I would 100% recommend!

I always have the best experience going to La bamba , the food is delicious , the manager there is very nice and will always ask if you have everything you need. The environment is wonderful. If you want a good Mexican restaurant head to La bamba!!

The restaurant manager has no manners with customers, he is very hateful and arrogant.

Aggressive, Misguided Manager & Unacceptable Behaviour

I visited La Bamba Restaurant with my two daughters, ages 12 and 8, for what was supposed to be an enjoyable family outing. Instead, I was confronted with a deeply disturbing experience involving the new manager.

While we were seated and eating, this manager approached and demanded that I step outside to speak with him. I complied immediately. Once outside, he pointed to an outdoor security camera and said, “You’re being recorded,” without asking for or receiving my consent. This alone was alarming and inappropriate.

He then falsely accused my two daughters of walking to a car with open containers of alcohol. I was shocked. I immediately informed him that those were not my children my daughters were seated inside the restaurant the entire time, and they are only 12 and 8 years old. Rather than apologising, he continued to speak to me in an aggressive, condescending tone that was completely unwarranted and deeply disrespectful, especially toward a woman alone with her children.

After realising he was wrong, he pivoted to accuse me of trying to take a margarita out of the restaurant, asking, “Why did you pour your margarita into a cup?” I explained that a fly had repeatedly landed on my glass, so I poured the remainder into a to-go cup and had already finished it while inside the restaurant. Additionally, I informed him that Georgia law allows patrons to take home unfinished alcoholic beverages under proper conditions.

📜 For reference: Georgia Senate Bill 236, effective July 1, 2025, permits a customer to take a partially consumed alcoholic beverage (such as a mixed drink) home in a tamper-evident container if it was purchased with a meal. I was fully within my legal rights.

This entire situation was humiliating, unwarranted, and handled unprofessionally. The manager showed no respect, no listening skills, and absolutely no accountability for falsely accusing a customer and escalating a completely avoidable incident.

Me and some of my boys have been coming here for about a year now and it never misses. Great food good time and now they are starting some events through the week like Trivia Night, Karaoke, and a DJ night! Great food great prices! Also come try their new vodka flavors!
