Laredos Mexican Bar and Grill

Got the worst case of diarrhea, out side of a colonoscopy. Speedy #2 sped through me. Don't know if it was because it was a late lunch order close to 3 and the food was left laying around, but it was the only thing I ate yesterday and today I've been pushing out water all day.

I got chicken, steak, shrimp fajita nachos. The steak was cut in these weird chunks, instead of thin sliced. The shrimp had zero sear, nor did the chicken and the entire meal lacked seasoning. I swear, something in my soul feels like the steak given to me was off someone else’s plate. There was zero jalapeños, although I requested them. And, the hostess is rude as hell. No greeting whatever and acts like she doesn’t want to be there. This is my 2nd encounter with her, same experience. I picked through the meal and ate some of it because I was starving. My stomach began hurting soooooooo bad. I’ll never patronize this place again in life. I REALLY have a feeling they made my dish with someone’s leftovers. If I could give them a negative. I would.

I have been coming here since before it was Laredos, back when it was El Rodeo. Overall it's a decent place, if you dine in. Warning though - if you have any food allergies be mindful. Since Covid we have ordered there and everytime we do we say no pinto beans due to a family allergy. We understand that a Mexican restaurant has pinto (refried beans) on nearly everything but it is a simple request to leave them off the plate. What really gets me is when we say no pinto beans even dishes with no pinto beans gets covered in it.(On takeout dishes) We take the items back, they fix it, after a long talk and not even once have they been willing to even compensate a single item for this. This issue never happens when we dine in. Now I know, you'll go why keep going? It's the only place within walking distance for us that serves a handful of things that are comfort food for some in the family. And it doesn't happen every time, just on the take out orders. It's rather disappointing. The food is good, when it's right, and as long as you're dining and not doing take out there seems to be no issues but yeah. After dealing with this for years on numerous orders, and giving plenty of chances to fix this issue it was time to write a review, if only to warn those with allergies or diet restrictions doing takeout.

Great for many years…very consistent!

This used to be my go to Mexican restaurant. They either they got new management or new ownership and this place has gone downhill. All the original staff is gone. The food is poor quality and doesn’t taste the same. I ordered fish tacos and it came out with a fish stickand tortilla only. I’ve never received a fish stick in a tortilla when placing an order for fish tacos. Like I said this used to be a great Mexican restaurant. They had great food and, it was my go to place. But I would highly discourage anyone from going here now.

Everything was great but also pretty steep in price. A basic chicken meal is $18+. With an app and drink, expensive.

The owner was extremely rude. We ordered a strawberry margarita and a mango margarita, but they tasted mostly like juice. When we explained our concerns to our waiter, the owner came out but didn't even introduce herself. She simply suggested that we order a double shot instead of addressing our concerns. The service was just terrible. Our waiter, however, was as nice as she could be. We also came a week ago and expressed that our drinks were stronger and did not have so much juice the owner just looked at us like we were stupid. Instead of the owner addressing our concerns, she simply walked off with an "I don't care" mentality. Don't recommend this restaurant at all.

A lot left to be desired. Texas margaritas tasted like pure sweet and sour mix. Cheese dip tasted weird. Nice place, but food and drink is not good.

Food was alright, I asked for a to-go water and they REFUSED to give one to me which I think is BEYOND ridiculous! It’s the middle of the summer all I’m trying to do is fill my yeti up with some ice water but nooooo!!!! Will never be back !!!!!

Lazy server - rude waiter - nasty food. Worst Mexican food I have had in a long time. Straight from the table to the toilet. Terrible experience. Will never eat at any lorados again.

Left standing at the door to be sat. Took a long time to be served, generally, a lackadaisical attitude. Down right rude hostess. Tall, skinney, dark short-haired, nice looking young woman, but damned rude. Never came back to this establishment.

Food had good flavor. Nice family style restaurant. Joaquin the server was very nice.
