This was by far the absolute WORST experience I’ve EVER HAD at melting pot! Mind you I have been to several different melting pot locations over the course of several years in several different states!! My first issue is we were sat in the back of the restaurant with someone who is new to serving at this location. We were at table with a double burner, so I honestly feel that with someone being knew you should not give them single burner tables, until they are acquainted with taking orders, and running more than one pot at a time! I arrived to the restaurant at 4:05 PM. By time 6 PM had arrived. I had only had cheese fondue and a salad, which is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I have never in my life been in a melting pot location for OVER two hours and have not gotten to my Chocolate yet!!! Although that is terrible, my real issues with the managerBRANDY! When it was time to pay, I informed my server, Adam that I had a gift card we proceeded to put on the gift card information, and I realize that he had charged my gift card $150 which is all the money on my gift card in my bill was only $90. He had to get Brandy which is the manager for him to fix this mistake upon Brandy coming to fix the mistake. She refunded the money back to my gift card and ask for the information so that we could re-process this transaction. I will have to pull the information up again upon me trying to pull up the information I could see that she kept trying to look on my phone screen. So then she says, can I see the gift card? I told her it is not a physical gift card. It was a gift card that I was gifted and I will just give her the gift card info she goes oh no we can’t do that and I say why he just charged my gift card, so how can you not do it now? She continues to say oh our gift cards don’t look like that just giving me several different excuses then lied & tried to say that my gift card was possibly fraudulent and honestly I feel like that was just a stereotype and racist. How is all of a sudden my gift card fraudulent what gives you the gist of my gift card is fraudulent she keeps going on saying different things like oh if it was from a different website something about a different website which I don’t know what she was talking about or what gave her the knowledge that there’s gift card was bought somewhere else other than melting pot no one ever brought up another site besides brandy. Overall, I feel like the manager played in my face and stereotyped me based off of how I looked for dinner. I will be contacting corporate.

We have been coming to the melting pot since my great grandmother was a Quaker in the Underground Railroad. Every time we come in we always spend 3-4 hours and order everything on the menu one at a time. They are always very accommodating :)Owen, our server, was incredibly out of breath the entire time and we were worried about his general health. He was also really sweaty and kept scratching his neck. Pretty sure he sweat into our cheese. All the more flavor! Super friendly, will be requesting again.The manager Eric was definitely our favorite part, and we loved when he shared his neo-confusionist beliefs with us. Will be coming back for our next funeral!

First impression was that it was not very busy on a weeknight. Expect to spend over $120 for 2 people with no drinks and plan for at least 3 hours for a party of 4+. Food was very good and high quality. Steak and chicken were seasoned nicely and seafood was very fresh. Service was excellent throughout the evening.

Roderick was great. Took great care to answer questions and even checked on us in a just on time manner. Our reservation was quick to be found and to get us seated as the place was busy with some people waiting outside.
We went to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. While our waiter was very kind and helpful, we waited ten minutes (11 actually) until anyone came to our table after we were seated to greet us and ask about drinks. But mostly I was bummed because we've been coming to your location for years to celebrate his birthday, and this time, they didn't do the special birthday dessert at the end even though I reminded both the hostess and waiter and it was on my reservation. I felt super bad for my son who really seemed sad by it. But otherwise food was perfect.

However, it was not a time that i wanted to ruin over a few dollars.For those who have to save up, or are on a budget, be aware that they have a built-in gratuity of 20%.While the fact that they do not accept cash is clearly posted in several different locations near the front of the establishment, I did not see any notices concerning mandatory or forced gratuity for all parties regardless of size.Just a few things to be aware of..*** UPDATE ***These gratuity charges (that has been stated to be discretionary) should also be passed on to restaurant personnel. This is how our reservation was made. They unfortunately did not pass on this information. I am unclear how an establishment can have a policy on a discretionary charge, unless it is at the discretion of the establishment and not the patron.I will probably NOT be returning anytime soon.
