We used to enjoy going to Steffens. Definitely won’t be going back after a terrible customer experience. Arrived about 1:30, party of 2. It was not crowded. Cashier was NOT welcoming. We were told to go to the long table in the back. The table was full of the dirty dishes from the 6 prior diners. Asked if we could go to a smaller table or booth and was told to take an open one. We go here a lot over the past year. Food is always really solid. Home cooking with a flare on Fridays. The only down fall is that the service can be very iffy. Sometimes great, sometimes REALLY sucks. Last 2 visits were exceptionally poor service. They seem very understaffed.
Best breakfast around. We drove up from Jacksonville and it was well worth the drive. Great service. This is the third meal we have had here in the past few months. All have exceeded expectations.
