We were leaving Atlanta to head back to Tennessee and we were hangry! We didn’t really want to stop close to Atlanta or the suburbs so we drove out of that region. I was craving Mexican food so my husband found this place. It used to be a gas station turned restaurant. The woman running it was amazing! The food is phenomenal!! Very flavorful and authentic. I’m half Mexican on my dad’s side and this tasted like his home cooking! They have homemade corn tortillas. We got the 3 pack of street tacos. I had the carne asada, carnitas, and their special of the day, barbacoa. Everything was so delicious that we also ordered 2 burritos to take with us on the way home to eat later.

Have your expectations set... this is not fine dining. But... the quesadilla (with pork) was out of this world delicious.

Salsa isn't great and you should maybe skip the corn fritter but the main dish eclipsed everything else. Fabulous flavor and the owner and staff were super friendly.

I would go regularly if I lived closer.

One of my favorite meals on the way back home to SC from NC. If you haven’t stopped here, you should. The attention to detail on their food is rare to find.

Just wrapped up a work project in Rabun County and decided to swing by Mama Gail's/Senor Pastor to see what the buzz was about and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I ordered the pastor torta, and for just $12, I got a massive, flavor-packed sandwich that was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The food alone is worth the trip, but what really made the stop special was the friendly vibe and great conversations with some of the locals. If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it!

We were driving through on our way back from TX and we were pleasantly surprised that the food was good. I had the steak tacos and my husband had the burrito.

Never bother with a breakfast from a drivethru again. They have a great variety and it's fresh.

Without hesitation the best burger in Clayton/Rabun. Yes the tacos are also very good, served with fresh onions, lime, pickled cabbage and grilled onions, but the burger is knockout.

Simple burger, no frills; lettuce, tomatoes, pickles but grilled hot and extremely juicy.

An unexpected pleasure. After ordering at the counter, we joined a local at her table for a chat while awaiting our order, and then enjoyed a great meal at the outside picnic table. If you’re looking for the best food in an atmosphere that is just what you would expect it to be. This is the place.

This food was phenomenal. We live in Atlanta, and I have not come across local places with flavor this developed!

The seasoning was delicious, I had their El Tomis burger, and my partner had the al pastor burrito.
I was so hungry and enticed by the smell, I couldn't wait to take my first bite.

We stayed at Tallulah Gorge, camping for a week. We were on our 3rd day straight of camping in the rain. All we wanted was to get dry and enjoy a nice meal we didn't have to cook ourselves.
I didn't take this photo for this review, I took it because I didn't want to forget this meal that warmed our souls on that rainy camping trip.
