Great service. Plain on the outside but worth stepping into. Ribs were outstanding and the sides are well above the typical BBQ restaurants in the area. Just off I-85 near many chain restaurants that it leaves in the dust.

This is real homemade BBQ. The potato salad was phenomenal, as was the mac & cheese! Was that smoked pepper jack? I don't live close by, but I definitely would plan a 2 hour drive just to eat here again.Kid-friendliness: They serve beer, but it's in a bottle, and they have 3 chairs at a bar top. The majority of the restaurant is designed for family dinning.
Very friendly staff. A little disappointed about the brisket. I'm from the north and expected better from the south. Overpriced for what I got.

Excellent smoke flavor. Ribs and brisket were so good. Potato salad, pimento cheese app were outstanding. So much care was given to each item we ordered and it was so satisfying!! Staff was attentive, polite and accommodating. The restaurant was spotless. Try it!
Stopped here on a whim while traveling and so glad we did. Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff. The ribs, mac-n-cheese, and potato salad are among the top best we've ever had. Nothing like this close to home. You cannot go wrong with anything at this place.

I personally wasn't impressed with food the homemade chips was good the cheese dip was like water and cold but stew was good and bbq was ok coleslaw had no taste.

Where to start.. been here and have bought large orders in the past to feed others.. tonight ordered 2 plates of loaded nachos, and brisket tacos. The tacos to be plain just meat and cheese, the loaded fries with extra cheese sauce. Got home the tacos where all the way, no huge deal i call back, she states its my fault, so I smiled and paid for a second order. Get home theres no bbq sauce in the bag, open up our fries expecting bbq sauce on them and nothing.. not a drop of bbq sauce on or in any bag from a bbq place that sells BBQ! Smh. I call back again and bring up the fact its missing, at this point im arguing with a fence post. NOTHING, NOTHING offered to be done. Now Ive got three plates of food that cost over $100 after a 20% tip, and cold food because ive drove back to get food corrected. Thanks Appalachian Smokehouse, you can have it!! Do yourself a flavor and make your own food, cant wait for yall to check out my plate picture and see all 6 pieces of brisket I paid for!

This place is amazing! The owner was very sweet and kind the brisket and the ribs and all the fixings were so good. Come give your business to this barbecue place you won't regret it. She also kept the place very clean and took away the dishes as soon as you were done.

My only complaint is price vs portion and that the Brunswick stew isn't Brunswick stew its more like veggie stew that's very tomato tasting.

When rating this, I struggled with the rating only due to price vs. portion. And that is my only complaint with this establishment. I come from Texas, where our Beef Brisket, is king. And it's honestly a rarity in NE GA to find brisket, let alone quality. But, when I get a plate of brisket, I expect a thicker cut, and at $16 maybe a hardier portion. (Idk maybe it's a market, or inflation thing, just wasn't what I was used to seeing). Other than the service was amazing, speedy. The food was even, spot on. Minus the thickness, the brisket had perfect color, and flavor so amazing. The sides were cold, although, known to be typical of BBQ places, still delicious. The fries are from the heavens, with a little bit of bbq on them. And it would be a meal itself. The starter cornbread, extremely good. (And I'm not a big fan of cornbread). To finish it off, they have amazing sweet tea, with all the lemon you need...
