“This is a takeout spot so don’t plan to eat here. But the chicken is outstanding. The sandwich is better than Popeyes, chikfil a, all of that, and is the same price. But don’t sleep on the butter chicken. It’s the best butter chicken I’ve had in Gwinnett county. These people know how to cook.“

“I took my best friend for a belated birthday brunch this week. We were both completely blown away! The decor was beautiful, the greeter was warm and friendly. Our server was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Several other servers stopped by to check on us as well. The food came quickly and it was amazing. The Chicken and Waffles were superb. The catfish and grits were so good, I actually started liking catfish! The collards and mac n cheese are what dreams are made of. I'm serious, these are the best around. Every detail in this new restaurant has been thoughtfully worked out, down to the separate lidded cups juicy leftover. The cups fit perfectly inside the takeout containers. What a wonderful addition to the Lawrenceville food scene. I only wish they had opened in Buford! However, I will be back, and I'm bringing friends!“

“I have been living in this area for 23 + years. This restaurant used to be Sophia's, if I'm not mistaken because I was there once & never went back. Recently I noticed the billboard along route 316 advertising Vintage Home Kitchen. I decided to give a try. I dine out for most of my meals so I know if a place is worth returning. I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit & didn't realize that it was buffet style, which is a "red flag" for me. The owners have done an excellent job with this type of service. The food is fresh & delicious, the the waitress & waiters do not pester you but all you have to do is look their way & they will be there if you need something. It is very resonantly priced, I am getting to be a familiar face. Also its very close to my house, I couldn't be happier. Give it a try people, you will not be disappointed!!“

“I just had one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten from ruta 52, and I had to share how good it was. I ordered the chimi dominicano, and every bite was packed with flavor. The bread was perfectly toasted—crispy on the outside, soft inside—and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. This place clean and friendly.“

“The Flying Biscuit in Buford was pretty busy for Labor Day weekend; still, our waitress Sarah stayed attentive and professional. She checked in on my friend and I as chatted, kept drinks filled, and managed a large section with care. The food was good; the atmosphere unique and artsy. Even under pressure, the team delivered a smooth experience. I'll be back!“

“After an early morning football game we were all hungry. Nothing really sounded good until I mentioned the Sugar Hill Diner.
As usual, it was packed. As soon as you walk in, you are facing the dessert case. There was a lot to choose from. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. Our server was extremely busy but she still managed a smile. She took our drink order. When she returned we were ready to order. Our orders encompassed a wide variety of their offerings. There was pancakes, sausage, bacon, corned beef hash, biscuits, gravy, toast, scrambled eggs and eggs sunny side up, fried potatoes and of course we had grits. Everything was to perfection. It smelled wonderful and tasted even better. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She mentioned she was a little overwhelmed. She is getting married next week and her wedding planner just quit. We congratulated her on her upcoming marriage.
As we were leaving we stopped by the dessert case for another look. It was too early for dessert. But, we ordered a variety to take with us to enjoy later.
I had my blueberry cheesecake while writing this review. I don't have the words to describe how good it was.“

“I love using Holy Smokes catering! I have used them a lot for lunchtime catering for customers and have never been happier. The food is exceptional!!! The meats (pork and chicken) are cooked perfectly and taste so delicious with their very own BBQ sauce. The Mac and cheese is the best that I have ever had and my customers say the same thing! The salad is always so fresh and the dressings are some of the best I’ve tasted. The Smokey flavored green beans are delicious and I always have more than one helping. My favorite dessert is their homemade brownies that are just like my grandma used to bake. They are always on time with their delivery and communicate so well when I reach out to them to order. The next event you have, call Holy Smokes and you will be thrilled. They also have the best quinoa bowls for the vegetarians in your party too!“
