This location used to be Sangria. For 4 years, great customer service. The first time I stepped in since the change, I experienced the worst service ever from Alexandro. I asked if I could get my fish tacos on corn. She goes to the kitchen and asks. She comes back, says yes, and then proceeds to wait on the two girls who walked in after me. I had to intervene and ask if she was gonna take my order first. Then she gets an attitude and replies smartly with, "Oh I didn't know you wanted them it comes as three". The sad part is, that my tacos were made with flour instead of corn. Disappointed customer.

We had the misfortune of coming here right after they seated a large party of 30+ people.
The food was great. Portion sizes were generous and prices are reasonable.
Service was chaotic at best. Three different people came to our table trying to take our order, and there was no clear server that was assigned to our table.
I am sure that on a normal night service is much more consistent.
So, ignoring the chaotic service we received in the wake of a very large group having been seated just before us...
The food was great, the portion sizes were great and prices are very reasonable.
Our only major complaint would have been that the music being played was very loud. Loud enough to make conversations difficult.
We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Me and my wife used to go to the original in Winder every week. We always missed going there (and our friendJerry). I randomly found out there was a second one in Lawrenceville scrolling through Google. It’s just as excellent! And don’t skip on the seafood just because it’s a Mexican spot. Just needs a boost of social media presence and SEO to get the word out that they are here!

Love this place so much! I don’t think a lot of people realize it’s in the publix shopping center…..Maybe need some signs at each parking lot entrance or do something with the local schools etc ….
Something to bring more people in so they don’t leave like the other restaurants that have been in this location! Everything we’ve had there so far has been great. They even have daily lunch specials.

Our first visit to El Cazuelon Mexican Restaurant and certainly not our last! The food was excellent and the most authentic Mexican carnita tacos I've had anywhere except for in Mexico. Portions were generous and food was fresh! We were especially pleased with our server, Maria! She was personable, professional and very friendly. She kept us well supplied with chips and everything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful lunch. We will be back soon!

Many thanks to all the staff @ Cazuelon Lawrenceville for hosting our event last night but especially to Denise for coodinating everything, chef Jose for the delicious food and Ernesto for putting up with our craziness!
Ask for Denise if you want to host an event there, she will make sure everything will be on point. Thank you chef Jose for personally overseeing every dish that came to the table.
Our food was delicious and on time, especially considering we were a huge group.
Very nice restaurant, nice decor! All in all this place gets a 10/10 for hosting parties. Oh, and they have music/DJ on Saturdays which is a plus for any party! 👏
