Awesome little place. Super tasty bbq, especially around Lawrenceville where good barbecue is kinda hard to find. Love it here!

First time to try fried ribs... that's a negative.... My sister and I shared the three meat platter- all pretty DRY. The red beans and rice were good BUT the Peanut Butter pie now that was worth the stop!!

We got takeout smoked wings and orka is was so salty that I couldn't eat it! π« Want be back.
We tried the deep fried ribs. Just not a fan. I feel the light breading ruins a perfectly good rib. We also shared the pit master platter. The smoked turkey was salty and dry. There wasnβt much Smokey flavor. The pulled pork was a little dry as well but had a good flavor. The beef brisket was just ok. I was hoping that the BBQ would be better than what I can find in the Windy City. The peanut butter pie! Amazing! Creamy and not too rich. Made our mouths water!

Platter gave me an idea to larger scale amount of food, but the food was good, service was excellent and we were able to get in an out in an hour on a Friday night. Can't complain. Their sauces are all delicious, the sweet potato fries were really good as well as the mac & cheese.

Let's start with the only good thing. The service staff was friendly and on point. Now for the hard truth.
This place is a joke of an BBQ joint. If you can even call it that. It should be called Dry Left Overs. They have plaques on the wall saying best of Gwinnett 2019, 2020, and 2021. It's blatantly obvious why they didn't get it since then.
Brisket was old and dry even the fat was chewy vs melt in your mouth like a brisket should be. The wings was dry to the bone but it at least had some flavor. The ribs was a joke, dry and flavorless no wonder it was drenched in the sauce. The pulled chicken was so dry it tasted like leftover from the night before and microwaved. The coleslaw was disgusting, had to spit it out. Couldn't tell if it was old or the flavor was just that bad. The beans out of the can would have been better. The freshest thing on either of our plates was the damn toast.
Great location and it has a free parking lot on the side and behind, so you donβt have to search 20 minutes for parking or pay. I had the smoked turkey, potato salad, green beans. Everything was good. The potato salad was interesting because it had a VERY creamy sauce to it, I didnβt taste any mustard. It wasnβt bad, just a different take on southern potato salad. The meat was very tender but with a mild flavor with out the sauce. I tried all three sauces and they just about tasted the same, very vinegary, like a mix of a Tennessee & South Carolina sauce.
The ambience was nice being in downtown Lawrenceville and the outdoor seating area is really nice. Unfortunately, I got some weird side eye from a lot of the customers (it was giving, you donβt belong here vibes). Iβm not sure what that was about. But again, my server was super sweet and took good care of me.
I may try it again and check out some different items to compare.

We got the pulled pork and it was great! The service was also fast and friendly. We paid $36 for two pulled pork sandwiches, each with a side and 2 soft drinks. Seemed a little high but fair considering the location in a bustling, historic downtown.

First time going to foggy bottom. My employer placed an order for over $200 to feed our staff for the day for 15 people on aug 31st. I went to go pick it up and I was greeted almost immediately and told where to go for take out. The person working at the bar/pick up was very friendly as well. The food was coming out right when I got there. Since it was a large order, the bartender was handing me the bags as they were packed. I checked each one to make sure everyone got their food and you would think for 15 completely different orders there's a chance for human error. But nope, each meal was exactly what was order. Nothing was missing. Everything was hot and fresh. When I asked if someone could help me to my car since it was 5 bags, they didn't hesitate to help. Luckily I was parked in the first spot outside. My meal was delicious. I got the tacos with sweet potato fries. 10/10 recommend this place.
