I had the best time at Honest Star Tropical Restaurant. Our host Daniel was 100% great, excellent, well informed and provided great suggestion in regards to the menu.I had ogbono soup and that was delicious. Being out of state, I was surprised how big the portion sizes were just for under $18. I took my leftover homes and the food was even more delicious. The atmosphere and the ambiance of the restaurant is excellent. Though it is an African restaurants, their customers are African food lovers. There were non-African nationals enjoying delicious food as well.I will be back.

I ordered three dishes wachee jallof with mixed meat and peanut stew with white rice.. I spent 80 dollars on this food. The white rice was hard and tasteless the peanut butter stew had white hard unseasoned chicken in the stew. The stew was like a like soup. Jollof tasted burnt and no particulate like onions tomato or ginger birs not seasoned at all. Wachee was the best of all three but the stewed meats were hard and burnt. These are facts not being mean. The food was basically inedible. Will not be going back.

First time trying African food. Was excited but after seeing things which not edible… I wondered about the quality of the food I’ve spent my money on. I regretted a bit after picking this restaurant to try new cuisine and not taking consideration about those newest reviews from this restaurant. Staff wasn’t friendly ( they looked at me like why this Asian one knows about our restaurant). Overall food wasn’t impressed

Horrible horrible the rice was hard like a brick and the food was not seasoned!! Tough beef almost broke my front tooth!!!! Hire better cooks this was a waste of $24.00!!!!! Disgusting and the cashier was watching me in a sexual way today SMH I’ll never go back here!!!
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Tasteless and bland food, plus they waste so much time attending to your order. Worst moimoi that I have eaten in my life
