This is a lovely narrow shop that is 50% counter, 25% storage, and 25% 3 tables in the back. Super friendly staff.
Food is authentic, but pricey. Tacos are currently $3.50, but loaded with meat.
If the cafeteria style hot bar is set up when you visit, then I recommend ordering a plate as the cheapest option.
Why only 3 stars?
I feel that the price is too high for the portion and quality of food served. My favorite spot for these dishes is at another shop because of this, even though Barata is the closest to my house.
Recommend paying cash.

The customer service was good, but I was sold old meat. The chicharrón was rancid, like it’s been sitting there for days. And they still sold it to a paying customer.

Wasn't impressed...food was not as good as I hoped or expected just sayin...and the worst I swear to you they charged me $0.50 for a refill on my fountain drink..actually lemonade because I swapped it out because the Dr. Pep was flat. SMH where they do that! Sheesh
