Food was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! Everything we had had was mouthwateringly good. We had the lobster pasta special, the hot chicken sandwich, the salmon, and the fettuccine, everyone loved their meals. Desserts were also yummy, I loved their bread pudding; and tasted the sweet potato cheesecake, chocolate ganache tart, and berry cobbler, which were also very good. It was a busy Friday night so we waited a little while for each course and water refills, otherwise this place was top notch and I would go there again and again.

We ordered the house burger, meatloaf, and the grouper. Our group had five people, and unfortunately one of us became sick afterward while two others felt unwell. The house burger, in particular, lacked flavor and wasn’t well seasoned. It was disappointing because I chose this restaurant based on the many positive reviews and brought visiting family here. Sadly, it turned out to be a mistake.

I used to go to this restaurant all the time- any and every excuse would do. I would bring family and friends- it got to the point where I wasn’t allowed to suggest this place anymore 😂 I never had a single bad bite, and as a notoriously picky eater it was a relief to have a place where I felt like I could eat literally anything off the menu. Then they switched chefs and the food just isn’t half as good. Before, I’d try at least half of every seasonal menu and now I’ve missed quite a few seasons. We went back the other day hoping that the new chef had settled into some taste and texture profiles but… the catfish was unevenly seasoned, most of the sides were just okay, the grit cakes were a lot less firm that I would’ve liked (although I could and did eat that tomato gravy by the spoonful), the chicken was a much smaller portion than it used to be… everything was either “alright” or not good. But the two biggest issues I had? The Mac and cheese looked and tasted like “fancy” box mac- in no way, shape, or form was the mac I was served in this southern restaurant southern. I didn’t even have the opportunity to send it back because my server didn’t return for 15-20 minutes after we started eating. Big issue 2: the “cobbler” was cooked peaches with the bread pudding bread on top. Not with the vanilla soak- no! Just the bread. What even is that? It was basically peach shortcake. It just stinks that I spent 2 years being a regular at a restaurant, took a break, and now it’s a place where the whole table left disappointed in the food and the servers were more formal than friendly. I’d say I was in the minority opinion based on the other reviews, but honestly given how empty it was when I went, I don’t think that’s true. I won’t be back. Unless it’s for drinks. The drinks were lovely. Too many vodka-based ones for the seasonal menu. It would be nice to see more variety, but still quite good.
But 1910- I’d love to know where your last chef is working now.
PS: you really need to switch the grouper and catfish on the menu. You have a Cajun-adjacent menu and you have catfish as the fish and chips?? Not with any greens or any traditional southern sides. Fries and coleslaw for over $20. Crazy.

As someone with gluten and dairy allergies, this place is top notch! An incredible spot for dietary accommodations and feeling like you have choices on choices. Service has been extremely disorganized lately, especially on the weekends.

This was my first visit with friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had tasted the fried green tomatoes, lemon pepper wings. My friends said the crab cakes were good. I but I ordered the blueberry French toast with a peach 🍑 libation. Everything was delicious. And our server Jessica was very attentive and the GM were very nice as well and shared the stories behind the revipies. I'll definitely return to try the crab cakes 😊

Tried this place for the second time ! We will be coming back for sure ! The Nectar margaritas are my absolute fave! I stepped out of my comfort and tried the fritters ( the sauce was chefs kiss) ! The front was super friendly and our server ( Mica) was attentive, knowledgeable, and super kind . She really made my husband and I feel valued during our anniversary. You guys have something special here! Good service , food, and ambiance are hard to find nowadays !
