A nice place to stop and get a cup of coffee. The service is really nice and friendly. The deck and view it’s really relaxing . A great opportunity to support local businesses!!! ????☺️

Me and my girlfriend had been regularly coming here for a few months every week for bible study. Normally our experience is not bad. Two of the girls there are pleasant and have talked with us. The drinks are solid other than some times not being made well. Apparently they have a different definition of a cappuccino there as when I ordered it it was over the usual 6 oz and definitely too much milk.Anyway, the main thing is one experience with one barista who I believe is named Staci. I ordered a latte and she gave me a iced machiatto, I told her I ordered a iced latte but she said that's what it was. I explained a macchiato is made with espresso on top, and latte puts it on the bottom. I know this from research and I work at a coffee shop as well. She rudely and sarcastically exclaimed "well you want to work here we're hiring" I just said okay and began to walk away. She yelled after us that she thought I said machiatto not latte, contradicting her former claim. I don't understand why she simply didn't try to make the customer satisfied. On top of that my girlfriends matcha was terrible, it's not always that way but it seems when Staci makes it is bad.

I have gone to Alcove for a while. i hardly ever came in the hours that stacey worked until recently… i don’t know why stacey speaks to costumers with a bad tone, and is so disrespectful… i work in fast food and totally understand how costumer service works . i also know that when anyone makes a mistake as a employee you should be able to resolve it and talk in an appropriate tone. all the other ladies that work here are wonderful people and always talk to me in a wonderful and respectful and polite manner. this was not the case for stacey. she also made my matcha horrid and i had to throw it out. everyone else has made my matcha good here… i don’t know if she needs to be reminded on how to make drinks? i will not be back here because i can’t give my money to a company that will support a rude, unprofessional, and not properly trained employee. other than that there are two ladies that regularly work here and make my drinks so well and are the sweetest people ever, if alcove can hire people like this why are they standing a bad employee? I would have asked my drink to be re-made, but seeing that stacey was already yelling at my boyfriend i got to scared. The matcha had way to much milk... and the drink itself once i stirred it up was a earthy white with a hint of green at the bottom

This place sits on, or above?, a lake so the atmosphere is calming. They have more than coffee and baked goods, my daughter and I went for lunch. I had a yummy turkey and avocado sandwich served with chips, she had avocado toast with a boiled egg served with cherry tomato halves, and we both had Italian sodas. We sat inside in front of a large picture-window overlooking the lake. Wheelchair accessible. There is an open deck with 4 tables attached to the entrance. There is also a walkway down to the lake with 4 separate chairs to sit in, AND a little further down is another deck overlooking the lake with a few tables and chairs. The lake was brown and muddy looking there were a few ducks swimming around.I do plan to go back…Wheelchair accessibility: The shop is on the second floor of the building with a ramp from the parking lot to the entrance, there is also a ramp inside that goes up one step from the sitting area to the counter and restroom.

I love this coffee shop! One of the best coffee shops in Gwinnett! The location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the lake. And the chai lattes are so delicious. I love studying here!

Loved this spot! Super cute seating outside by the lake, and tables inside with a lake view and huge windows. We've been here a few times and the food and coffee are always good! Staff is very friendly as well. Would recommend this spot for getting work/homework done, wifi is solid and there is a big table if you need some room.

I want to like this place but I am consistently let down by it. The hours are inconvenient, the service is terrible, and they rarely get my drink right. The best part of this place is the beautiful view.

An extremely cozy little hidden gem of a cafe, the coffee is good, and the indoor seating has a lot of outlet access for using laptops. The outdoor seating has a nice view of the lake, and the baristas are very friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance has a ramp

We had our first experience and it was wonderful! This is great chill place to study, read, or maybe even nap outside by the lake in the outdoor seating once it warms up. My daughter had the waffles and bacon, and I had the ham n cheddar croissant with chips. My daughter said these were the best waffles she had tasted over 3 places that I named and I had to agree!!! We have been in this area for 6 years and so glad we came in. The seating is cozy "close" and the prices are fair with a nice mix of music playing. I love the real glass coffee/tea cups they use for customers which make me feel at home! We will definitely return!...I wish that the parking was paved and that there was a easier way to get into the parking lot without making a u turn as well a little bigger for more seating but it is tucked away jewel!!!

I've been dying to come here for years. Today I decided to drop in. I was so presently surprised to see a view of this man-made lake through the window. The music is nice I love all the chotskies on the wall. It has such a peaceful vibe. So instead of taking my coffee to go I decided to sit in a corner and breathe. Service was quick and very chilled. I ordered their specialty coffee with a splash of soy. I can actually taste the flavor of the coffee. I think I will buy a bag. I just found out that they make their own lavender syrup!!!Small plates of food. I was eyeing their grits and shrimps maybe on my next visit I will definitely be back.

What an adorable gem by the lake! I enjoyed a cappuccino with well-done art; the coffee is light and smooth. It's a small yet cozy cafe that is well-worth the visit.
