This is my first time returning to Don Jose for lunch after a long absence and I remember why I stopped going there. My husband stopped in there to pick up lunch to bring home to us and it was pretty awful. I ordered the lunch combo of Chili Rellano which consisted of a large slab of cheese which was not melted around a very thin coating of batter, which I could tell was not fried at all. The meat taco I ordered was totally wet and fell apart and had maybe half a teaspoon of meat in it and I picked around to eat what was mostly lettuce. Even the beans that came with, it were very wet and looked like they had been watered down to stretch further and save the money. So sad… I will never ever go back there again. What a waste of money! I don’t make a habit of doing reviews, but in this case, I needed to give the public fair warning. Find someplace else to eat.

I ordered 1 burrito. They tried to give me 2 and charge me 6 dollars. they argued with me.
Beer is overpriced. They stopped putting potatoes in there burritos and lied to my face about it.

I loved eating at this place, I went with my whole family but everything changed when I placed an order online, the complete order did not arrive and they did not solve it in the way I expected ?

I have been coming here for years and it’s always amazing. The staff, the food, the service never disappoint!

After going to Agovero, and walking out after receiving the absolute worst service I’ve ever received at any restaurant, I stopped by here as I was still craving some
Mexican food. Night and day difference in service. Everyone here was friendly, and was served in a timely manner. The food was good, it wasn’t the best or most authentic tasting Mexican food I’ve eaten, but it was still quite good, especially for the prices and the food portions are insane. I got the Burrito Texano, and couldn’t even eat 1/4th of it. Will definitely be back, and if you’re looking for a Mexican restaurant in the area to try, try this one. Avoid Agavero at all costs, seriously, don’t even waste your time,
Just come here!
