40 years ago this was a place called Spiced Right BBQ. It had old style vinegar based BBQ sauces. They closed down a couple of years ago and the place went through different owners and was re-furbished.When I go to a BBQ place I like to sample their sauces. I liked them all, especially the mustard based sauce, but the spicy sauce was too hot for me. I ordered the BBQ pork plate with beans and fries, a classic for me. The plate was ample and good and I enjoyed using the different sauces, but the beans were a little too spicy for me. Next time I'll have Cole Slaw.Definitely a change from the main stream BBQ places!

Well worth the trip. Fast service and really tasty bbq! Saturday they have burnt ends but otherwise everything else is solid but recommend the ribs. Coleslaw wasn't the best but everything else is solid.

We ordered the sampler platter which had all the meats and a taste of all the sides for I think $32.99. Me and my husband split it and still had leftovers to take home. The taste of everything was amazing. The peach cobbler was quite literally the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had. And my whole table felt the same way. Staff was so friendly and helpful - I highly recommend for small and large groups. The outside patio was fantastic for a fall

Food was just ok to me. -The Mac & cheese was very dry & not seasoned at all. -The beans had too much of some kind of pulled meat in it & I would've preferred it to be regular beans. -The ribs were not as seasoned as I'd expected but the "spicy" bbq sauce that I put on it made it better. -I used my Yelp check in to get a free banana pudding. It was very small & let's just say I've had better elsewhere. Although it was free, I couldn't even eat it because it was gross. The kids meal I feel like should not have been $8. They literally gave one hot dog on regular white bread (no condiments) and the side of Mac & cheese that it came with was not even a regular kids size portion. It was SO small it only was seriously one spoon bite. That's a huge rip off. I had to share my food with my 3 year old because he was still hungry. The kids meal also came without a drink so I had to pay $3 extra for a fountain lemonade. That's $11 for a kids meal when I could've went somewhere else, paid less & had way more food. Overall, I feel like the prices are way too high and wasn't worth it. At least I can say I tried it though.

This was our very first time here. We were told this would be a great place for brisket. Also we came to support an non profit organization to help raise funds for the homeless. Well our order was placed first by my spouse. He ordered while I went to the rest room. By the way the restroom was very clean. The seating area was clean. The menu was clear and the cashier was also helpful with providing any additional information about the food. We were very disappointed. My husband's order was not made. My son's order was missing the items I had requested and our expectations of the food was not good. We will not be returning to this location. The brisket was chopped we were expecting whole slices. Not chopped, the ribs tasted as if they were left over from the night before. The greens were not good. Over all not a good experience in this food. Maybe we had gotten the wrong items, they we were told about. The taste of our food was not good. Also we drove all the way from Atlanta to have a great experience at this location. Not good. The staff apologize for not preparing my husband's order. Once we got home we were disappointed ?

There were eight of us, and we had two young and noisy children. Fortunately, they weren't busy, so we didn't cause any problems. Wait staff was efficient, courteous and professional. We got our food quickly, and it was very good. Prices high (like every restaurant these days) but it was good barbecue cooked on location. I'll definitely go back.

Last time I visited i had the bbq rib tips, they are very good! I tried the brisket which they only serve on Fridays, but it was good as well. The baked beans were great! I didn't really care so much for the other sides but I've definitely had worse. The banana pudding is good too!

We are visiting Stone Mountain from Jacksonville FL. Worth the short drive! Ribs were fantastic, smokey flavor fall off the bone tender. Pulled pork is cooked to perfection. Kids chicken fingers and fries were a clean plate when the kidos were finished (parents know how important good chicken fingers are if they want to eat somewhere). Sides all delicious. Courteous and attentive staff. Owner even talked and made small talk thanking us for stopping in. Great meal. Thank you Smokin Gold!

When you're craving everything bbq the 4 meats and sides are perfect! We got the ribs *chefs kiss* pulled pork, brisket and rib tips. The smokyness combined with the rub! So soo good!! Sides were yummy and the peach cobbler made for a delicious dessert:)

We found this place on Google and based on the good reviews we decided to give it a shot. When we got there the place was empty except for staff and one other person. Staff was nice, but the food was nothing to rave about. Definitely not the worst but Sonny's is way better. Especially for the price we paid. However, the peach cobbler was absolutely delicious and served warm with ice cream on the side (that's how I requested it).

We went to Smokin Gold for the first time. We ask the host about the Brunswick Stew she said it was very good. My wife and I both ordered the Brunswick and the look and the taste was not like any Brunswick we tasted. I added some meat for me to eat it. The BBQ was Ok good but not good enough for us to come back. Real score 3.8

The Brisket was good but slightly on the drier side. The Ribs though - perfectly cooked, moist and SO flavorful. I could've eaten a whole rack of them. Out of all the sides, we liked what I liked above the best. Everything else was just OK.
