We had a wonderful first experience at this newest version of the Black Rose Cafe. Now a Mexican style bistro and coffee shop. They offer coffee, smoothies, various baked goods, breakfast and dinner options. We had the taco salad, quesadilla, sope, chocolate tres Leche, chocoflan, and churro cheesecake. Everything was great, we were very pleasantly surprised by the chocoflan. The staff was kind, attentive, and answered all of our questions.
Went there on a Saturday night. Not busy at all. Tried the sope—it was so good, especially for $5. Taco Salad was good, too. Chai latte was just ok. The menu items(except for the sope) seemed very expensive for the ambiance.

Hands down the best latte I’ve ever had. Better than those I get in Atlanta and definitely the best on the Southside. My avo on toast was delicious and hit the spot. Great atmosphere and great customer service!
