Let me just start with I loved the atmosphere for business lunch! It was quiet enough to talk and hear the other person talking plus plenty of space. However, the food had good flavor but was too salty for my taste. I had the turkey and dressing. The turkey was tough and the dressing taste like wet bread. The collard greens were tough but Mac and cheese was pretty good. Too expensive for the quality of the food so I'm not in a hurry to go back but a nice business meeting place, for sure.

The young lady at the counter could use some training in customer service. If you don't want to wait on customers in a restaurant, it clearly shows.

The restaurant looks very new in the recently built shopping center. The customer service was top tier. It gave a very homey and welcome vibe. I received great service with a large smile. To put the icing on top, THE FOOD WAS GREAT! I am all about good customer service. They did not disappoint. My portions were a good size and I left full. Did I mention my food was 👍🏿 great! No tricks just great food!

I’ve been wanting to try CJ’s out for some time now but never seemed to have the time, but however I stopped by the establishment on Friday 6/27 a little after 6 in the evening very nice place, neat and clean i might add! My order was taken by the heavyset lady not sure of her name but she was quite pleasant there were a few others in the restaurant at the time when I first entered I was greeted by the heavyset lady and I observed a younger lady sitting on her phone as the other lady was making plates, the other young lady finally decides to come assist by ringing orders on the register while still engaging in conversation on her phone! I found this to be very unprofessional and a bit rude honestly! My overall impression was that the restaurant is very nicely maintained and the food was good,I would definitely recommend addressing the phone situation as I wasn’t the only one who noticed! I look forward to visiting again!

Customer service is great
Food is good, but you have to be aware of the prices posted on their a la carte menu. All though the prices are reasonable, they are actually higher than whats posted on their display board. The manager/owner is aware of this because I personally spoke with him several months ago and he has yet to change the pricing on the display board to align with whats actually being charged.
I don't have a problem with paying whatever the price would be, my problem is with them not being upfront with their pricing. It's a matter of principle. I have been given cause to question their ethics and if I feel that they are not ethical, unfortunately I am unable to support the business.
So my concluding message is buyer beware!

I go here every chance I get. Not only is the food amazing, but, so is the owner and all who work there.
Ive ordered take outs previously and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is always delicious. The service is outstanding. Que prepared our orders and he was very pleasant and patient as we tried to decide on our entrees, (because everything has been consistently good!) Portion are very generous! From the fried fish to the neck bones & gravy, ribs, turkey wings or baked chicken. Mac&chz, greens, green beans, sweet potato soufflé, all were delicious! Today we dined in for the first time and everyone in our party was more than satisfied with our entire experience. We are ecstatic to have a good soul food restaurant close to home.
I’m adding to this review because the past 3 times I’ve gotten the sweet potato soufflé and it looks & tastes like baby food. There is absolutely no way they are made with fresh sweet potatoes. Sorry, but it’s gonna be a NO for me!!!

I ordered the Salisbury steak. I was expecting patties but they were balls. They were gross. No type of flavor and dried out. The cornbread dressing was gross too. It was sweet and too dry also. The potato salad was simply meh. It needed sugar or something in it because it was definitely missing something. The only thing I enjoyed was the gravy and rice. This is my 2nd time coming here and the food has not gotten better. There is no way they are from the south cooking like this.

A nice quiet down home family friendly soul food diner. The food was delicious seasoned to perfection. I ordered the turkey Salisbury steak. The dish automatically comes with rice and a delicious corn muffin. I don't eat beef so I was astatic to see this option. I paired this dish with cabbage, some of my Mama's greens and Mac and Cheese and for dessert the strawberry shortcake. The food was delicious there was no wait and the service was both quick and professional. I'll be back as soon as possible.

My husband and I are truck drivers and we were making a delivery at the Home Depot distribution center. Based off of the reviews we decided to bobtail down to location to get some soul food. Baybee when I tell you everything we purchased was a 10 out of 10 even down to the homemade ice tea. My husband got the Whiting with Mac and Cheese and candied yams (mouth watering), I got beef ribs( tender and flavorful) Mac n cheese, collards and potato salad. We also brought strawberry cake, carrot cake and red velvet.
If you are trucker or local to the area I highly recommend giving this business your support. We are from Philly and real funny about our food so this was definitely a win win. I can say the reviews were on point.
