New American Restaurants near Lookout Mountain, GA

“After several calls to Rock City Garden (no direct number to cafe), I wanted to check on this location for an anniversary lunch. I was given restaurant hours which included Monday’s. I was reluctantly transferred to cafe for other questions. Interestingly, the chef answered my call responding cafe was closed on Monday’s. Only light hor-d’oeuvre’s served on Monday’s which Rock City Gardens (how convenient when selling $50+ park passes) failed to disclose. The chef was strange up with help (5*’s); not so much with RCG’s. So Beware what’s lurking behind a phone call! Wish there was a way to Cafe 7 without going through a garden, particularly Rock City Garden.“

“Had a fantastic meal and wonderful service. The only negative would be the hostess. Not the most attentive when we checked in and then she took us to our table. We were given option of a two seater right between the only two occupied tables in the dining room or a two seater against the wall near the restrooms. Given it was early I thought maybe the 4 seaters were all booked but at end of night they were still fairly empty when we left.“

“Incredible dinner last night at Wooden City, had a group of 7 and everything was perfect - food, service, drinks, atmosphere. It was slammed busy on a Saturday night but zero hiccups with food or service. Perfect location, can’t wait to go back.“

“We visited the area for the first time since this gem opened. We had such an enjoyable experience and meal at the chef’s counter Friday night that we sat there again for Sunday brunch. We really enjoyed the staff and how committed and excited they are to put really great food out of the kitchen. We will definitely come back when we visit the area!“

“Food and service were amazing, as always. We were shocked to have to now pay for parking!! A $300 dinner and we have to pay for parking! We were told by the staff they have to pay for parking as well! And don’t the owners also own the parking lot? Possibly this isn’t the best policy!“

“My wife and I arrived a few minutes early but were immediately seated. We ordered the trout almondine with green beans with a side of mashed potatoes and a green salad. We accompanied this with a white wine (pinot grigio). The food was excellent in every regard. This was our anniversary and we were offered complimentary deserts with coffee. We had dined at Public House last year on our anniversary and used our $10 off card. The waitress was attentive and presented us with another $10 off card for use next year. We will be back for this occasion again for sure but also will be eating at this fine establishment other times throughout the year. The prices here are very reasonable. Chattanooga is lucky to have this restaurant.“

“My son and daughter in law and I ate at Hello Monty last night. The atmosphere was very nice and the host was great. Our waitress was outstanding. She took care of us the whole time we were there. The food was excellent. We had fish, rip eye and salmon. The rib eye and mashed potatoes was excellent vi would highly recommend eating here“

“You are missing out on the best barbecue in the Chattanooga area. The ribs will be your last stop on your journey to find the tastiest, fall off the bone, most delicious meat you have ever put in your mouth. Go! Now!!!“

“We had an out of the blue date night last night. My mom came over and we asked to go to dinner with no idea where to go. We decided to give Lakshore Grille a try and WOWWWWW. We were so happy with our decision to come there. We will be back over and over again. The food was some of the best we have had and the entire service staff was so friendly. The cocktails were also yum. You definitely get your monies worth. It seems like a great place to work and a wonderful atmosphere. We can't wait to go back. Great job!“

“We had planned a trip to the Lodge Museum and store. I honestly didn't know about Big Bad Breakfast when we pulled in. Lucky for us, because we were hungry. We certainly weren't hungry when we left. I had the cathead biscuit. I'm so glad that I did. I thought it was wonderful. The chicken was super crisp and flavorful. The biscuit was easily the top of my list of best biscuits EVER. Now, I will warn you if you like soft bottom biscuits. This one wasn't. It was crisp, with a perfect cust like texture on the bottom. Just the way I like them. I'm just sorry there isn't a Big Bad Breakfast closer to home.“

“Was looking for a place close to our vacay rental. They had great reviews, so we checked it out. Very happy we did. It is a college town and there were students in there. But, there were also, families and older people. They have a huge menu and a nice happy hour with another huge menu. I didn't realize that everything was frozen on the H.H. menu. It was still good. I had been craving Chinese. They had a few Chinese dishes. The Chinese dishes they had were in Teriyaki, which is somewhat sweet. I don't like it. I asked if they could leave that off and give me soy sauce. They did without any hassles and the food was delicious!! Service was great! They have an enclosed sun room (?) and a small outside area in the back. When in town, we will go back!“

“Holy crap. We only came to Chattanooga for my daughter's graduation and stopped here for lunch because it was near the venue, but this place... BEST BURGERS I've ever eaten! The staff were all super friendly and they even made a delayed to-go order so I could take a fresh lunch back to my kiddo when she got out of her practice. The aesthetic of the place was wonderful and people from all walks of life gathered there as if they, too, knew about the magic in the food. 12/10 will absolutely come back on my next visit to Chattanooga.“

“One of the best local spots in Chattanooga. Ive been coming here since I was 16, first fried pickles I ever had and they are the best 20 years later. Pickle barrel is a staple for the fellow natives.“
