“We visited the area for the first time since this gem opened. We had such an enjoyable experience and meal at the chef’s counter Friday night that we sat there again for Sunday brunch. We really enjoyed the staff and how committed and excited they are to put really great food out of the kitchen. We will definitely come back when we visit the area!“

She was very friendly, very knowledgeable of the food, went above and beyond for us and her fellow servers to help when things got busy. Best service we’ve had in a long time. We lucked up with no reservation and there was one table open in the bar/lounge area. Everything was incredible. VERY rarely am I impressed with a dinning experience in all ways.

“My son and daughter in law and I ate at Hello Monty last night. The atmosphere was very nice and the host was great. Our waitress was outstanding. She took care of us the whole time we were there. The food was excellent. We had fish, rip eye and salmon. The rib eye and mashed potatoes was excellent vi would highly recommend eating here“

“Had a fantastic meal and wonderful service. The only negative would be the hostess. Not the most attentive when we checked in and then she took us to our table. We were given option of a two seater right between the only two occupied tables in the dining room or a two seater against the wall near the restrooms. Given it was early I thought maybe the 4 seaters were all booked but at end of night they were still fairly empty when we left.“

“First time back to J Alexander's in a long time for no reason. A good experience with attentive service. The seared tuna was excellent and the prime rib was tasty. Meatball appetizer was ok, a bit $$ for what they are. I'm spoiled by my meatballs no restaurant can beat. All in all a good experience.“

“My family has been coming here for decades and I went to school and church with several Ankars at OLPH and NDHS. I went to the Brainerd location today (my favorite). Unfortunately today’s experience was not great (but there’s no way I’m giving an “I do not recommend”). We ordered 3 hoagies. The bread usually comes out warm and soft (and we usually buy a bag to take back to Oklahoma with us). Today’s bread was not warm, chewy, and a bit tough. The onion rings were cooked unevenly with one basket being very light in color and the other 2 being much darker. Idk how many Ankars work at this location, but I did not see anyone. I hope the legacy is not coming to a close. I still wanted to get a t-shirt before leaving. The girl at the counter was confused by my request and got someone else who had to get a 3rd person to locate the shirts. The size he brought out was M and I wanted L. Had to wait while he checked and there were no Ls. This took about 7 minutes from start to finish. No apologies or offers to order one. I’ll be back to Ankar’s next time I’m in town. Just not this location. I hope that things improve there. Ankar’s was a gem not too long ago and it would be a shame to lose this Chattanooga landmark.“

“Holy crap. We only came to Chattanooga for my daughter's graduation and stopped here for lunch because it was near the venue, but this place... BEST BURGERS I've ever eaten! The staff were all super friendly and they even made a delayed to-go order so I could take a fresh lunch back to my kiddo when she got out of her practice. The aesthetic of the place was wonderful and people from all walks of life gathered there as if they, too, knew about the magic in the food. 12/10 will absolutely come back on my next visit to Chattanooga.“

Their hot honey is the best condiment on the planet. Inject that into my newborn baby.
I would say that it's a little bit pricey, but if you're eating out for breakfast I don't know what else you should be expecting. Plus everything else is getting more expensive anyway, so it's not like this is much of an outlier.

To MGMT, please don't reply to this review. I I haven't looked into how much you do or don't reply to these things, but if that ever happens it's always super uncomfy. I don't know if that still happens anymore, but it has all of the suave and grace of asking if you would like to donate tell the children's hospital at the Panda Express checkout. Is an interaction that didn't need to happen and it makes everyone uncomfortable because it looks like I want kids to die now.

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott hotel due to a winter storm that prevented me from commuting to work. The hotel's management kindly provided accommodations to ensure my safety. When my car battery died on the last evening, the front desk staff, including Katie, were extremely helpful and notified Jordan, who assisted me in jump-starting my vehicle despite the freezing temperatures. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional customer service displayed by the staff, who truly embody the spirit of hospitality. Although my stay was brief and work-related, I was impressed by the hotel's amenities and my comfortable room. If I find myself in Chattanooga, TN, in the future, I would certainly choose to stay at this Marriott property again. The staff's dedication to providing outstanding service is what sets this hotel apart. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Katie and Jordan for their kindness and assistance.“

“We visited here early on a Saturday. The Chestnut Street Brown, an English Brown Ale, was fantastic. The Incline IPA and the Oktoberfest, a Marzen, were very good. We also had the Pimento Cheese & Bacon Jam which was served with warmed pitas. It was delicious! The bartender was great. This was definitely worth the visit.“
