“Just ate here for the first time and I have to say that I was impressed!!!!Not only was the food DELICIOUS (literally everything we ate was *chefs kiss*) but the service and atmosphere was impeccable. Will def be back. Thank yall so much.Would highly recommend“
“Chattanooga could not be luckier to have this restaurant. Hands down one of the best in the city. The service, drinks, food, all 5 stars. Every time I dine here it’s a near emotional experience. Always left speechless. Thank you for this gift, Calliope!“
“Been coming to Zaya for roughly 3 years now, and I can say this is the best cuts of meat I've ever ate in the state, and probably my life. Service is always stellar with great knowledge of what they're serving. I hold this place as my go to for any celebration or intimate “
“This was our first time here. We came right at opening so it wasn't busy at all. I got the Miso ramen and let me tell you...that hit the spot. The Karaage was not bad. Not the best I've had but didn't exceed any expectations. We sat in the front but they had a lounge in the back where you could order drinks as well. I would definitely come back to sit back there. It looked super cozy.“
“It was our first visit here, and we brought out of town family. The food was delicious, the patio was wonderful for kids, and the service was fantastic! Brett pushed tables together for us and was so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back and bring all of our guests here!“
“Amazing! Where do I even begin! The atmosphere reminiscent of a steak house I loved called Starks in Northern California. You smell the smokey wood fire smell with none of the downside. Air is clear and fresh. Kitchen is visible from most the restaraunt. Server Robbie was truly a server. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive. On his suggestion I tried the whipped feta appetizer which came with fresh made pita. I love feta but this was a whole new level with honey in the center. My husband ordered buttermilk fried chicken. It was tender and juicy on inside and nice crispy on the outside. Entrees are A la carte. I ordered the charred gem lettuce and wood oven roasted fingerling sweet potatoes. Hubbie shared all my sides and tried some of his chicken. Perfect meal! Then we ordered dessert. Because really that's why we came. My coworker raved about their tres leches cake. And it was topped with fresh whipped cream not from a can.hand whipped. Yummy. We will be back. So satisfied. Definitely fine dining but not snobby and dress as you like.“
“If you're looking for a GREAT drink, this is the spot. I'm not going to waste time, so don't waste yours. Ignore the food menu. This is a DRINK spot and the drinks are definitely being served ‼️ I got Bartenders choice and my server told me it's called The Fortunato. It was smoky and subtle, by far the best drink I've ever had. If you're looking for a good spot to get some good drinks. Hit up Unknown Caller. They will definitely get you right.“
“The food and service was great. My daughter and I ordered flap jacks for the younger kid which came with bacon and eggs. The teens ordered waffles and bacon and potatoes. My daughter had steak eggs and potatoes. I had the chicken and waffles. Chicken was friend to perfection. I really enjoyed the food and I will definitely go back and the pineapple mimosas was everything. ?Nice experience make sure y'all try it out ???“
“My husband and I were visiting Chattanooga and ended up here one night. Fantastic decor, ambiance, service and drinks. We went during the week and it was quiet, nice to sit and chat. Love the couches and chairs, nice and comfy! The bartender apologized because their speakers were out, and music was playing, just not loudly. Maybe it's normally louder.“
“The food was so incredibly good! We are from Southern California and this was by far the BEST Mexican food we have had EVER!I got the burrito off dinner with carnitas for the meat. It was so tender and full of flavor. My husband got stuffed poblano pepper and he said it was the best he ever had.I only took one off for service as our server was a more interested in talking to bartender than checking on us.Very off the beaten path but so worth it.“
“Dinner here was absolutely amazing! Their chips and salsa were exceptional as was the guacamole we ordered. Very large serving on the small dip. Our drinks were delicious and strong. The entrees were perfect, definitely much better than your average Mexican restaurant. Service couldn't have been better throughout our visit. Will definitely be back!“
“Best Chicken Taco Salad ever! I have had a lot of Mexican food in a lot of States, this was the best Taco salad, nicely grilled chicken and caramelized onions and peppers and great topping. Their salsa may not be the best I ever had, but my other two friends had wonderful large and delicious meals as well. Going back with our spouses!“
“Incredible food. The best restaurant I’ve been to in Chattanooga! The outdoor patio is amazing.Service was so friendly! I’ll always ask for Jeremy’s section. And Mary, the manager is so friendly as well. You gotta try the Brussels sprouts, Sweet Tea Chicken Sandwich w potatoes, and the Italian Sausage Flat Bread w Vodka Sauce!Everything was beyond delicious. Will make it a point to go to Hello Monty every time we visit Chattanooga! Can’t wait to try their other dishes, which looked amazing as well.Thank you, Jeremy and Mary for an excellent experience! And hats off to the chef!“
“My friend and I found this place by happy chance, just walking around. The place was packed but as there was only 2 of us they got us in right away. We were greeted warmly right away and were seated. Even though the place was busy we were given ample attention by every server that passed by. It's a quite fancy place and we were challenged reading through menu as they use the correct Italian names (I loved that btw but we are simple people over here) But with Yelp pictures we were able to make our choice. I decided on the Ricotta Cavatelli and I added chicken. It was so perfect! My friend got the salmon and said it was cooked perfectly. My favorite part was the seasonal vegetables that came in the dish, everything was cooked perfectly.“
“Absolutely ADORE this place. Everything about it is wonderful. The people are super nice, and the atmosphere is fabulous. My favorite thing to order is the cuban sandwhich, but everything on the menu is delicious. *edit over 6mths later* THE MUSTARD CHANGED!! I REPEAT THE MUSTARD CHANGED! still awesome and make it a point to come here every time I head up here to Chatt. “
“I'll keep this simple, as I just came in from the rain to have a glass of wine while it passes: do not get the rosé! Don't. It's... well it's a horrific acidic, bitter, cheap-tasting mess of a wine. I'm seriously laughing to myself at how much garbage it is.Otherwise, the place has a cute vibe and the bartender is friendly.“
“What a great little spot to stop and drink local Chattanooga spirits! Matt was pretty freaking awesome! He made us feel at home while listening to the local talent (Richard)! After just a little bit, more people poured in. Everyone chatted and it just felt like home!“
“Tried Paloma for the first time last night with a girlfriend, celebrating our birthdays. Our waiter was friendly and the food was tasty. Had hoped for a better sunset view but the plastic coverings weren't clear and we mainly watched the traffic. Still nice atmosphere. Loved the asparagus and bacon wrapped dates - the calamari flavor was different than advertised (more sweet/smoky than light and lemony) but good texture. Enjoyed the chocolate mousse dessert. Also don't be like me and keep looking for parking and end up on 27 going across the bridge and back. Pay to park for $10 in the church lot next to main entrance“
“I actually enjoyed being the spotlight soon as I walked in all wya on me 2 pac voice laugh out loud I had fun tho over all meet me there don’t beat me thereParking: Fair enoughKid-friendliness: AbsolutelyWheelchair accessibility: It’s visible a ramp“
“We brought a team of 25 and their parents here after a game. The team was EXCEPTIONAL. The food was great, service quick, and the staff is so kind and caring. Groups of all sizes, this is your spot! Thank you Marisa and Emma B for your help!“
“My recent visit to Whiskey Thrift in Chattanooga was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the inviting ambiance and stunning decor that exuded an unmistakable artistic charm. One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the breathtaking view that the venue offered. Whether enjoying a drink indoors or soaking up the scenery from the outdoor seating area, every moment was accompanied by a picturesque backdrop that added to the overall experience.“
“This is the best breakfast spot in Chattanooga! You must check this out if you are in the area. Best Bagel Sandwich I’ve had. Arguably better than the ones in New York. Breakfast Sandwich Bagel is absolutely amazing. Bagels are fresh and Potato Latke is crispy and savory with good seasoning.“
“This is a tastefully decorated Japanese restaurant. I heard they had vegan options. We had a gluten free person in our party. They had a gluten free menu available upon request. I ordered asking for the mushroom skewer, vegan sushi and vegan ramen. The waitress knew what I was asking for. Everything was really good. The ramen was flavorful without being spicy, salty or bland. I added tofu and it was two squares of crispiness. I enjoyed it. The service was great.“
“Whitebird has potential. Menu is small and curated which I was looking forward to. Dishes were balanced but in need of salt and the restaurant in need of some music outside.Chase, our server, was sweet and accommodating. It was a sleep Sunday in Chattanooga, so it’s safe to say we were pretty confused when it took 15 mins to be greeted at the table. Later on we found out that the kitchen and FOH were being stretched to simultaneously cater a rooftop event for the hotel.“
“It is a great neighborhood hangout and sports bar! We arrived at 7:30 pm, and the place was still packed. One of the staff saw us walking in and got a table with 4 chairs ready. It is March Madness, and Tennessee was playing tonight, so it was a loud and jovial crowd. Our waitress did a great job getting us our food and drinks quickly. Guests can order at the bar or have a staff member wait on them. There are only a couple of staff who actually wait tables, so it is incredible that they can keep up! Our food was absolutely delicious! I had The Faith, which is a 6 ounce chicken breast that is battered and fried. The sandwich has lettuce, tomato, American cheese, bacon, and wing sauce. It was tasty, juicy, and big! I was thoroughly impressed! I had a mixed drink, which was strong and good. The rest had a beer recommended by our waitress. They really enjoyed the choice. We will definitely be back!“
“We really enjoyed Scotties! Five stars are well deserved! We had the not your ordinary cheese balls and crab cake appetizers, and they were both fabulous. I had the ribeye, and it was perfect. The fried shrimp were fresh and some of the best around. I will be back!“
“This place changed my taco outlook of this city. I ordered 3 different tacos, and a passionfruit margarita. I had a carnita taco, a PIZZA (yes, you read that right) taco, and a spicy brisket taco. All three tacos had their own vibes going HARD. I was told I'd have leftovers. I do not. EAT THESE TACOS, CHATTANOOGA PLEASE. 5 stars.“
“We stop in here time to time for a drink after work. The staff is always super welcoming. It’s not often a bar manager is so involved and helpful with their staff and guests. If you stop in, have a convo with Jeremy and Lisa, my two favorite bartenders. Both are awesome and always willing to provide a tasty drink.“
“Always an enjoyable atmosphere, with top notch service. Taco Tuesdays are such a great deal! We love to sit outside with the pooch, and look forward to visiting again.Parking: Several spots in front and more on streetWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“

“A quick edit: Chris, from the Tap House wrote one of the best responses to my review I have ever seen. He was not defensive. I added a star.Cold and a bit depressing inside with a server who is not knowledgeable about the beers. Why three stars?1. I’m sure this place is packed and lively in the evening, but I came in on Friday around 1 PM, and it was really empty and cold. I know that this is an older building with high ceilings and glass windows, but it was freezing. I probably should’ve just left, but I thought once I had a beer and some food in me, I would warm up. I did not. It was really chilly the entire time.2. I will say my server was initially attentive. She was very nice. But it was only me and two other tables…the entire time. And she just didn’t appear again except to bring the food. The place had only three seated tables out of several, and two people working, thus, the server should’ve been much more present. (See the photo I took of no one behind the bar). Later, I saw the two servers way off to the side, talking to each other, behind the bar. But if you’re looking to catch a server’s eye to refill water or anything else, it’s really awkward when you have to go up and start looking around for her. At a minimum, I should not have to be flagging her down, very, very minimum she should at least be visible somewhere in the restaurant so that if I do have to walk around, I can find her.She asked me what I wanted to drink, and then disappeared, did not offer much advice on the beer at all, even though I told her I was from Asheville (a big beer town) and I asked if she had any High gravity, and she said,“just scan the QR code.” I told her what type of beer I liked, and I asked for suggestions, and again she said, “Scan it and you’ll see a list.” She wasn’t offering any advice on any beers and I found it really unusual in a bar that is so beer focused…And so empty. It’s not as if she had to rush off to a bunch of other tables. I really expect my bartenders/servers (at a place known for beers) to say “this has some undertones of this” or “this one’s a little grassy“ or “this is a nice hoppy IPA, but it’s a bit cloudy.“ But she wanted me to do my own research and just told me to scan the QR code. Again, with no one here, she could’ve walked me through some of the beers. Since I did not have any recommendations, I thought I would have a flight, and even then, when I was saying, “what about this one?” she told me to write down the numbers. Maybe I’m spoiled from living in Asheville, but I am really accustomed to the bartenders telling me the details about the beers when I ask a question. And this is a place that… does… Beers. I just really expected to have a conversation about it, and that’s one of the reasons I came in. The server seem to know absolutely nothing about the offerings.3. Terrible Wi-Fi. It is free Wi-Fi, but the entire time I had less than one bar. It made it tricky, because I needed to contact a couple of people and get a few things done, but it was really really bad Wi-Fi. I know this is not a business or a café or people that come to get the work done, but hopefully with the Wi-Fi you should have at least two bars.4. Food. Here is the real reason for three stars. I really did not enjoy the food. I would never give a three star review to a place just because the Wi-Fi was spotty and it was cold. Or even if the server was not knowledgeable. But the food was really disappointing. I ordered the boneless wings, and the barbecue sauce that covered them seemed rather generic, and they felt a bit soggy and they were cold! The blue cheese was runny and not chunky and they were $20! For a pound basket. I ordered a pound so I could have some to take home. And I really wish I had only ordered a half a pound. They just weren’t good. I’ve had boneless wings all over the place, and these tasted like something that you would get that were frozen and then thawed out and just slathered in some sauce. The sauce was too heavy, the wings were not crispy and good. The sauce weighed them down.“
“We were really in the mood for a burger. Recently moved to Chattanooga and drive by Drakes every day. Decided to give it a try. The service wasn't good and we waited a long time for our food. We liked the smash burger style and the flavor of the burger and toppings were very good as was the bun. However, the food must have sat for a while as it was basically room temperature. Having waited for as long as we had, and the flavors were good enough, we didn't send it back. So, not a completely unhappy experience but maybe not good enough to go back.“
“Went on a Thursday evening, wasn't busy at all (perfect).Sweet potato special appetizer was DELICIOUS. Cheezy-noogan pizza was full of cheezy goodness. The Farm & Fig pizza was unique and the goat cheese added a nice touch to it. Servers were attentive and helpful.“
“This was my first visit. The menu isn't crazy large but there are plenty of good options. I got the shrimp and grits and was blown away. The shrimp was in a crazy good sauce and was over the creamiest grits ever. I'll definitely be back!“
