“Absolutely delicious food, personable, attentive, and professional service, and a lovely atmosphere. We ordered:

grilled queso (9/10): creamy, sweet, nutty, salty, absolutely delish.
pork belly tostada (10/10): house made everything and fresh smoked meats really shine through w/ fresh salsa verde and crema to accompany.
brisket migas (9/10): flavor bomb! Super tender brisket chunks and the perfect mix of textures with crunchy tortilla chips, fire-roasted tomatoes, and scrambled eggs.
Beans (side) (100/10): possibly my favorite. So comforting and flavorful, best topped on any of the main dishes or by itself, or dip the house made corn tortillas into.
Collards (side) (8/10): maybe over salted but that’s probably subjective! Otherwise, delicious, tender, zesty, and also a great addition to any of the main dishes.

Bonus: house made banana-strawberry swirl ice-cream with house made vanilla bean whipped cream. (1000/10) Other-worldly.“

“I had some vegan nachos and they were amazing not to mention the young lady who took my order and served me Dasia she was the kindest most attentive young lady she deserves 10 stars. Over all great food great service of you haven't tried it yet I recommend you do soon“

“We got nervous when there weren't any cars, but it had pretty good reviews so we gave it a shot. On the way home from the ball field so, why not? I guess people just prefer the over priced places with fake cactuses. The steak tacos mexicanos may be the best in Chattanooga. Enchiladas were good, not great, and the burrito loco was easily 2 meals. We will be back.“

“Not as good as all it had been hyped up to be. It wasn't bad but it was really just bland. Fresh and bland. Even the salsa Verde was mild and milder with not even a sour or lime or vinegar kick to it. The steak was really the worst. Extremely bland, not grilled or charred on iron. Had almost a gray color and not seasoned. Had a burrito, 2 of 3 kinds they serve. Wonderful guacamole dip, worth taking home. One burrito was in queso, also bland. Supposed to have salsa Verde on it but I saw none. Staff was very friendly. Lots of homeless in area as always at Miller Plaza, but saw no issues.
There is limited seating. Maybe 15 seats. Design is for mostly carryout.“

“Food was great and well worth the price. I asked about Jarritos flavors and my server said they just had lime, but when I sat down I saw a fridge full of different flavors so I’m not sure what that was about. Apart from that everything was great and the lime went well with the Pollo con Papas.“

“Excellent food and service. We were in Chattanooga and stopped in mid afternoon. I had the Birria Tacos and a side order of their Mexican street corn. My husband had chicken fajitas and we shared their house fresh guacamole. Big portions. Everything was SO tasty! Service was good. The restaurant was bright, festive, clean and welcoming. We would absolutely recommend and come back.“

“We ended up here because Tremont tavern was packed. Glad we decided to check it out. The service and friendliness of staff is exceptional. Seems like a small staff but they all do their part and definitely pay attention to customers. Food was great! The red wine sauce on my veggie burrito was really good, not standard enchilada sauce. Atmosphere felt like it might have been a nightclub at one point, but gave space without the feeling like you were just out in the open. It had character. It is upstairs and I didn’t see a way to get there other than to climb them. So probably not a good idea for elderly people. Parking was street parking and a little hard to come by. Overall really enjoyed our dinner. Chips were nice and thick.“

“Very authentic and everything is fresh and made daily and to order. The salsa's were amazing and went well with the tacos. Tortillas are hand pressed for each order. Highly recommend anyone that wants real Mexican food to give it a try.“

“First time at Mean Jeen’s today! Oysters with the pineapple mignonette were *chefs kiss* Po’ boy was slammin. Boiled peanuts were worthy of the sketchiest gas station that has the highest yelp reviews in the state (if you don’t know, that’s the highest praise). The owner took care of me, she’s a queen. I most of all suggest the batched white tea shots. They come in cute little airplane bottles (green tea shots are also available). You won’t regret a single thing you have here, but the best part was the vibe. 12/10 stars. Do recommend.“

“This restaurant was a perfect pick!!!!Eating here is one of the best decisions me and my family have made when dining out. The moment we walked in we were immediately treated like family members or regular customers. The staff were friendly, professional and kept smiles on their faces. Normally this never happens or it's temporary and ends once you place your order, but not with these wonderful people. Upon ordering we were unable to decide what to choose due to the wide array of visually appealing options. We eventually picked a few dishes to take home and then the food to eat at Taqueria y Fonda la Bonita. I was prepared to pay a pretty penny for good food but that wasn't the case. Our total was way less then we expected and they insisted on making the take home orders when we were about to leave (a 15 minute heads up is all they wanted from us). We loved the food presentation and the attentiveness of the employees, but we quickly became infatuated with how good the food actually was. For the first time in what seems like forever, no one touched their phones or said a word☺️. My kids literally cleaned their plates and begged to come back tomorrow.
