“Party of 5 quickly seated, they super busy. Our waiter was at our table with plenty of hot chips and fresh salsa, he quickly had our drinks. There's a salsa bar with jalapeños and several different salsas. Typical menu for the restaurant, prices were a little better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. All of our food was good, with large portions and packed full of flavor. They do a daily lunch/dinner special with a soft drink. Domestic beer is $1.99 daily. My wife and I also visited on a Tuesday, where they had $1 soft/hard tacos beef or chicken.Overall, I would recommend giving them a shot. Great food, friendly staff. I will definitely be eating here again.“
“I passed this food trailer several times and finally decided to stop. The gentleman was friendly and courteous. The food was great. I got the Special Dinner which came with a taco, enchilada, chili poblano, tamales, and chalupa with rice and beans for sides. Huge amount of food for only $12.99!“
“If you live in the area, there’s no reason not to try this place. The food is not only some of the best in Chattanooga, but the price is beyond fair for the quality and quantity. It has become my go-to restaurant after a hard week’s work: an amazingly delicious, unbelievably decadent treat. Because I deserve it.I ALWAYS order the birria torta. The entire menu is outstanding, but this is not only the best sammy in Chatty, but the best I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and go there asap. You won’t regret it.“
“Typical Americanized Mexican fare unless you're well, educated in specific things to ask for which greatly expands on your experience of dining there. Solid place, I put it in the middle-higher tiers of AmMex food in this area. Servers always treat us nicely, we always get our food rather quickly and the portions are quite sufficient for anyone unless you're just gluttonous. I would suggest it for those that want Mexican fare, but aren't quite food adventurous. For more authentic experiences, look for latin food based food trucks. They tend to have much more in the realistic fare and honestly is the best way to experience a taco. Anyways, place is solid and worth a 4/5 Star.Kid-friendliness: They always make sure my children are fed first and that means a GREAT deal to me.“
“I will never go back.We recently found out El Metate has a rewards program. I was so exited! I finally earned a free meal. I pulled out the award, and the hostess accused me of lying because my phone didn’t update. I didn’t get the free meal and accused of lying. When I got to the car, my phone updated, my reward cashed by the hostess. I can’t stand to be falsely accused. I won’t go back. Was a $15 meal worth losing a faithful customer? I mean, we went to eat there at least once a week.“
“The food was good, salsa was great, service was great & we had a large party of 9. My only complaint, which is minor, is they have live music & it was way too loud. The guy sounded great! No complaints on the music, just the volume. None of us were able to hear to be able to have a conversation with each other. We had to keep switching seats to sit right next to whoever we wanted to talk to. For such a small indoor space, he could have turned the volume down & easily have been heard & enjoyed throughout the restaurant. Good food though, we'll be back.“
“Ate here last night for the first time and it is now mine and my family's new favorite Mexican restaurant. The restaurant decor and led lights are super cool. The staff was really friendly and service was excellent. The cheese dip and salsa were the best out of any Mexican restaurant around. I had the hawian fajitas and it was absolutely delicious! It comes with chicken, shrimp, peppers onions, and grilled pineapple on top. We will definitely be making this our weekly dinner spot!“
