Since moving back to TN I've always found the local Mexican food disappointing. Discovering this place has been a game changer. The food aint fast, cheap, or fancy, but it is killer. The Agua fresca drinks are made with real fruit and taste delightful. The staff has always been very welcoming and it gives off a homey vibe. The only downside is its a fairly small place and not suited for large groups.
This is my favorite place for a burrito in town, we come here at LEAST once a week. The staff is super kind and prompt with service. And they have a fully loaded salsa bar??? Unbeatable.
Fantastic. Beats the hell out of any other Mexican I've ever had around here. And they have a self-serve salsa/toppings bar. Fair prices too.

Taqueria El Chido serves delicious, fresh, and flavorful authentic street tacos that are very filling and juicy. The quesabirria is absolutely top notch and the tamale is to die for, served moist in the corn husk. The restaurant features an awesome and plentiful salsa bar with a huge selection of salsas, including a cactus slaw. The staff is friendly and provides awesome, quick service, happily explaining the menu. The food is a wonderful experience, though the multiple TVs can be a bit distracting. Guests are very pleased and highly recommend it, planning to definitely be back soon.
