“Family got the tacos Mexicanos. FINALLY. Something that resembles real Mexican food. (CA native) I got the tortilla bowl. Meat was excellent. I got the Al pastor. Family got the steak tacos. All the toppings are fresh. This place should be packed!!!! Try it. Get a sense of real food. Not bowl in a bag.“
“Amazing!! Showed up randomly with several members of my car club (a party of 18) right when they opened and they acted like it was no big deal. All our food came out great and fast for the number of people. Great portions and prices. Highly recommend.“
“May God bless you all there has been times when I have needed a little extra cash just to pay for the order that I ordered but you will front it maybe it came out your own money I don't know but it's hard times out here right now and I honestly goes a long way and got you a five-star Google review at the very least much “
“Wow!! This little place is awesome!! I love the nachos! You got actual beans and the chips are nice and sturdy! Their pizza is also excellent in my opinion! Say goodbye to all other pizza places!! I don't know why it tastes so different but you'll just have to try it for yourself. My favorite is cheese and mushrooms! The grilled chicken salad is also worth having!! I love a good hearty salad with actual vegetables and not just lettuce. This one is perfect! I have yet to find something that I don't like. The atmosphere is calm and the set up is simple. I would encourage you to try this little place!! Compared to Amigos or El Meson or Mayan Kitchen,... this place is in a class all its own. Especially for the price and the quality of food, you can really taste and see the difference.“
“First Latin food (though it more like an El Salvadoran) spot; and I can’t wait to go back again.Pictured:1. Cebiche with white fish, reasonably priced, fresh, citrusy, and about the kinda fresh of a fish you could get in a landlocked area like Chattanooga. The chips were more than enough, I recommend ordering this to share, I shared it with my alter ego, she loved it; she doesn’t really know too much about fish, unless it’s bad; then she knows.2. Their classic pupusa, with cheese, beans, and pulled pork. This is the El Salvador dish, and it shows. Possibly one of the best pupusas I’ve ever had; I can’t wait to try all the other types they have. They usually come in orders of two, I got only one; did not share with alter ego; she getting kinda phat.Alter ego loved the mango salsa and thought the habanero wasn’t that spicy. Her name is Shego btw, because wherever I go, Shego.Overall:Food: 4.7/5Price: 4.9/5Support, eat, and ask for the Mango salsa.“
“The food was so incredibly good! We are from Southern California and this was by far the BEST Mexican food we have had EVER!I got the burrito off dinner with carnitas for the meat. It was so tender and full of flavor. My husband got stuffed poblano pepper and he said it was the best he ever had.I only took one off for service as our server was a more interested in talking to bartender than checking on us.Very off the beaten path but so worth it.“
“The ambiance here is calm but fun. My wife and I enjoyed Valentine's Day here. I got the El Hipster, and she had the sangria. Both were very good. A lot of restaurants around Chattanooga make drinks wrong, but Mezcla knows how to mix drinks. We started with the bean dip, which was delicious. She really enjoyed her shrimp tacos, which were a bit spicier than she likes, but she said they were very good. I had the burrito loco and loved it. We will definitely be back.“
“Hands down one of my favorite lunch stops in town. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic, delicious food. This is it. Tacos, tamales, Tortas, horchata, enchiladas. They have it all. I usually 2-3 or maybe 6 tacos and a tamale or two. Never had a bad experience with my food or with the staff. I’ve eaten here probably about 15-20 times since 2021 and it is always good. They used to take cards. However last few times I’ve gone it’s cash only. So bring some cash. You can feed two people for about $20.“
“This is truly a hidden Gem!!! Was hungry and in the area. Found this place when looking for a quick bite. When I entered the restaurant I was at first a bit confused, They have a few tables you can sit down to eat, but there wasn’t a counter or anything to order at. So I just stood there, waiting for someone to notice the 6” gringo standing in the middle of the room. Only took about 15 seconds for a very sweet woman to approach me and ask me what I wanted. My Spanish is limited and I understand more than I can speak but not by much. She asked what I’d like to order and reference the menu on the wall. I ordered 6 tacos. She confirmed my order and that it was for to-go and walked away. 5-10 mins later came out with my food. While I was sitting waiting I did see they scored a 99 on their health inspection!!! Way to go crew. Food was delicious. I ordered 2 Barbados, 2 asada, and 2 lingua (tongue) Tacos. They were served with just onion and cilantro and some lime wedges, also came with some homemade verde salsa. Salsa was extremely flavorful with some heat, but wasn’t overly spicy at all. Tortillas were fresh and delicious. All the meats were moist and delicious. Nothing seemed like it was sitting under a heat lamp waiting on me. Made fresh to order. I’m always on the lookout for great taco shops. And this one I will 100% be back to!! Highly recommend this place. Don’t let the looks fool you. This place is cranking out some delicious authentic food!!!“
“First time there. It's a very small Mexican market with a built-in mini restaurant. Not a place for a date of fancy romantic dinner, just quick awesome food. I tried the Pastor and Barbacoa Tacos with a mildly spicy sauce....they were very very good. $2.75 per Taco. They sell beers from Mexico and Guatemala. I highly recommend them for a quick lunch or dinner. The whole menu looked fantastic. This is REAL Mexican stuff, not what you find in most places around here.“
