“We are from out of town and wanted to try a good but non expensive bbq place for it being our first time in town. This place is amazing! For 5 people cost us $55! Servers are really nice and has play houses for little kids! 10/10 recommend!Kid-friendliness: It has some play houses for the kids to play on while getting food!“
“First time in at Puckett's Chattanooga, we had excellent service by Wyatt! Ask for his area if you choose to eat here. Food was delicious, you definitely need to try the bbq platter! We went on Friday night and they had live band, was a great place to eat and hang out!“
“Best brisket I've had since Texas or KC! The ribs were fantastic too with an amazing dry rub but with brisket this good that's the route I recommend. Go for the greens as a side. Staff is passionate about their BBQ and their customers, and it's easy to believe this is the best BBQ in Chattanooga.“
“First time ordering here. Ordered one beef taco and one tongue taco. It was over $9 which was a little more than I would like to pay for two tacos but they were fantastic!! The tortillas are freshly made and whoa. Big difference in taste from. The store bought. I wish I would have ordered another one. They were kind of small. “Well, my first time here as well as in Chattanooga, TN. Hubby had heard of the spot from friends a year ago. If you a scaredy-cat tourist, the place will look sketchy as heck. I'm from NY and living in GA for over 8 years I learned about the best establishments, be them hole in the wall places! Anyway, you pull up and chef outside on the grill, smoking it up! When you get to the door it reminds me of one of those old liquor stores you ain't got no business being in as a kid. Push in the door and that BBQ small hits your belly hard. It's a small spot they got about 4 tables inside but it's cozy. Menu looks legit. Our family 3 had a variety of selections hot dog and mac n cheese for the kid, I had the wings, green beans and slaw and hubby had a pork sandwich baked beans and potatoes salad!. I was able to get the green beans because they use turkey. I was salivating but disappointed. They were peppery and bland, but baby my slaw and wings were finger licking the whole time good. The wings were a little tiny but VERY tasteful. The kid ate all of his food and he a picky eater, plus he don't eat everyone's mac n cheese. Let's just say no morsel was left behind. My hubby said everything was good he meant to get me the potato salad and him the coleslaw his error my pleasure. He don't eat potato salad but decided to try it, why he couldn't stop eating it! Then, he had the nerve to ask these people, " who made the potato salad?" Glad we sat and stayed and enjoyed it all, they seem to be a family business giving the business with this BBQ. The bonus was customer service was all that and then some!“

“Great dinner, as always. We picked up 2 pork plates with slaw beans cornbread and an extra side of potato salad. Everything was excellent, as always. We've been ordering dinner from Shufords for years and have never been disappointed in the least! Shufords gets a very well-deserved 5-star rating!!!“
“OUTSTANDING!! This is must-try BBQ in Chattanooga. We’re visiting from Atlanta and chose Chatt Smoke House over a few other choices…best decision! Talk to James, the owner. He’s got great stories and his ribs and pork plates are fantastic. The beans, potato salad, Cole slaw and fried okra are some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Love it!!!“

“We went at a weird time, it was near closing before July 4th holiday. We had decided to go after finding out another place was closed. I'm sure the owners weren't thrilled with us coming at that time! But I'm really thankful they were willing to take our order, and though the selection was limited at that point, they gave us extra food. Really hospitable couple, would definitely like to try again on a normal day. The food has that homecooked taste, which is very comforting.“
“The food is wonderful and the wait time is about five minutes between orders. You have the choice of drive threw or walk up . The people are very friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend a stop for a killer potato and some really good Cole slaw.Vegetarian options: Killer baked potato is the best.“

“Nice folks but we did not like their pulled pork at all. It had zero seasoning and a weird cardboard flavor. The brisket was tender but had zero smoke flavor. It was still super delicious on a sandwich. Potato salad and banana pudding were good.“

“My daughter loves BBQ and while on spring break this past weekend. I decided to surprise her with BBQ after a long day at several attractions. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. Ribs well seasoned and tender, macaroni appropriate amount of cheesy goodness, potato salad light and refreshing and baked beans were sweet with a touch of smokiness. My 10 year old loved what the restaurant represents as well. (Staff was friendly and helpful)We will be back very soon!!!“
