“First time stopping in on my way to Chester Frost. My whole family loved their meals. The only thing that I didn't particularly love was the okra tasting like it has sugar in the breading. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious, just wasn't expecting it and personally love it fried in a traditional batter. The girls up front at register were very polite and beamed with a positiveness about them that you don't find often. They had on Christian themed shirts and radiated something Christ-like in their presence. Nice to see young folks like that. Service went smoothly and quickly. Everyone ate everything off their plates. Even had to order coconut cake to go. Haven't found a coconut cake so similar to how my aunt always makes one and it was a nice treat. Will be back when I am in the area.“

“Pretty good food for a chain of restaurant at reasonable price. Friendly and professional staff....What I personally like about the waiters is that no one is having visible tattoos or piercings! Very good place for young and elderly families where everyone is nicely greeted.“

“This is exactly what I wanted! Brisket that is cooked perfectly without excessive greasiness and tender good. Tried the smoke bologna and that stuff is good too! The collard greens are excellent with a hint of heat. The Mac n’ Cheese is incredible too. This was a great meal at a good price. We will come back when we are in town.“

“My husband and friend stated it was the best burgers they had ever had, Kansas and the Cajun one I had The French and it was delicious, the coleslaw is simple and yet sooo delicious. The Cow Blanket had the most amazing beef brisket. We all throughly enjoyed it and the staff were also very lovely and I think very reasonably priced. “My spouse picked up 1# pulled pork and a small slaw. Well packaged, reasonably priced and excellent in quality. Our second experience with you (we live 5 minutes from Shuford’s) and yours is a cut above. Nothing wrong with Shuford’s, it is fine, but both our experiences with you have been a cut above. We will make a point to drive the extra ten minutes to you going forward.
As a thirty year veteran of the restaurant industry, I was curious to see what others had to say, which is overwhelmingly positive. I wasn’t surprised. What did surprise me was the frequency with which you respond to these comments. Many wouldn’t notice. “I’m a very picky eater and when a friend suggested my husband and I eat at Haven’s with him we agreed. My husband had meatloaf, okra, cabbage with a corn muffin and I had the fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas with a corn muffin. Every single thing we ate was the best we have ever tasted!! I couldn’t believe it. Our friend ordered the pork chops and could only eat one so my husband got to eat the other one. Seriously, it was hard to leave there with out ordering two or three meals to go. Since we live in Cleveland Haven's will see us at LEAST once a week. The girls there are precious and the food is cooked after you order. Such a Fantastic place!!!“

“This is a childhood favorite. I no longer live in Chattanooga, but whenever I go home, I must stop and get me a large chopped wiener plate with extra slaw and extra rolls. Sooo good. I can't wait until I make another trip home. Definitely a must try restaurant if you've never eaten there.“

“Patrick was by far the best server I've had in a long time. Here recently it seems like service has gone out the window. From having to ask for lids for our togo ramikins to never seeing the server till its time to pay. However, Patrick went beyond that! He was attentive, but not overwhelming. He brought a togo bag and lids without having to be asked. He always had a smile on his face even though they were clearly busy! He was just overall the best service I've had in a long time! The 4 stars are because I watched a buster throw trash on the floor instead of throwing it away. And another one walk past our table with a dirty bus tub that I needed to scoot over for because she got that close to me with the nasty tub. The food was good (I have never had amazing food at TR), however my steak was very salty in some parts and had no flavor in others. Other than that, it was a great experience for me! 10 stars for Patrick!“
