Great food. Wings are amazing. Dumplings are not to be missed. Very sweet lady who works there
The worst I've ever had. The rice was dry and flavorless. The food was cold. Never again.
chinese food... my preferred treat. great food with quality ingredients. certainly worth a return visit. if it wasn't far from my work i would come by more.
This food is amazing. Whenever we are in town we stop here. The Hunan is the best ever.
This is definitely the best Chinese food in Macon. Family owned and operated. Never a disappointment. Consistently delicious, made to order. One of the hidden gems in Macon!
Love their food and the owner are such sweet people. Would highly recommend
As a lifelong vegetarian I am very picky. China Gourmet was excellent! The service, flavors, and portions were superb!
I’m being generous with a 3. That is because the lady that helped me was nice. Maybe it’s because I had to go food but fried rice that comes with order, plain, but I don’t eat Chinese for the rice. Other 2 dinners were plain in flavor also. Very disappointed. Portion very small for the price. Chicken was tender, beef ok. Still no flavor. I did not ask for wasabi or Chinese mustard. (I forgot and was not asked). But the steamed dumplings!!! Amazing. May give another try when covid19 is over to dine in. Restaurant had 100 rate from inspector and she was washing door handle as I was driving off. So I would say very safe and clean.
I've never had awful Chinese before until this place. Some are great and some are forgettable but this place, never again.
Excellent food! You really have to look for this restaurant because it's easy to drive past. It's on the side of the building toward the back. I'm a fan of spicy food and they will make it as hot as you can handle. I recommend the Mongolian beef.

The owner complained to me that I did not tip her and that I had to be seated to be served..well I wanted to save her a few steps and order eggrolls and soup at to go counter.
This was my first visit here which was takeout. The female owner was attentive and pleasant. I ordered house fried rice, house lo mein, egg rolls, and chicken wings. Overall, everything had good flavor and wasn't bland. My complaint was the meat portion in the house rice and lo mein (beef, chicken, shrimp). The chicken and beef was cut into very small bits (literally). I actually had to look closer to notice any chicken or beef because I could barely taste or see it. I've honestly NEVER seen scant portions of meat cut so small in any Asian entree I've ever had. Anywhere else, the meat is noticeably sliced. In addition, there were only 3 small shrimp in both pint containers. So I basically paid $8 each for rice and noodles with hardly any meat. The wings are cut into small sections (3 flats/3 drums) so for $5 you don't get 6 "whole" wings as you would expect. From what I noticed, the dine-in portions are plentiful, so I'll be giving them another try mainly to see if takeout and dine-in orders are prepared the same. If not, I won't be returning!
Great service, great food, super cheap. Awesome little hole in the wall.
Some of the best food my wife and i have EVER had. Dont let the outside fool you, it's a cute, cozy place. The woman who owns it (didnt catch her name) very proudly told us she and her husband do everything with 2 other helpers that they hired. She came back to check on us and we had cleared our plates, I've never seen someone so genuinely happy that we enjoyed our meal. China Gourmet is going to become a ritual stop on our way to and from Atlanta!!
Fantastic, authentic cuisine, delicious and at a great price. This is a go-to lunch destination for my company. It is that good.
