I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but the low rating is due to their overly complicated and annoying reservation system.

There is no option for online reservations like most other finer dining options in Macon, so you have to call. I made my last reservation for my birthday about 2 weeks out.

The day before the reservation, I received a somewhat rude voicemail saying that if I didn’t call back to confirm my reservation I’d made, then I wouldn’t have a table.

I understand plans change and they don’t want no shows, but having to call back a second time to confirm is a little annoying. Fast forward to an hour before our reservation, and I realize as I’m trying to get ready and texting our babysitter, I receive ANOTHER call saying I need to confirm my reservation otherwise I can’t be seated inside and will be subject to patio availability.

I call back and inform them this is now my 3rd phone call with them about dinner. The hostess was snippy on the phone and didn’t seem to care.

Moving forward, I’ll be going elsewhere. As a busy working mom, I don’t have time for 15 phone calls to confirm a dinner.

Disappointing. Dined there for my 45th wedding anniversary. That feeling of regret when you get ripped-off. The only thing correct in the restaurant name is CHRISTIANS. FINE, nope. CUISINE, nope. The entire experience, from trying to make a reservation to the overpriced food, was disappointing. You'd think after being in business for 5 years the owners could do better.

I wish that my first visit to this place was better. We visited for a birthday dinner and we were completely dissatisfied. We had a party of 10, so I guess since our party was big that slacking on the service and the food quality would be subpar, since they would get paid regardless of the service we received. Initially we had to practically beg for bread. After 20 minutes we finally received bread. When we finally received our meal, we were dissatisfied again. Everyone's food was not hot at all. I just don't understand how I can spend almost $800 on 4 people and get subpar service. I mentioned this to the manager and nothing was done. I will not be back to this place. I am sure nothing will be done to rectify this issue. Do not go to Christian's, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Went with spouse for anniversary. Fine dining used to mean setting a standard for patrons to dine. Not here. We were surrounded (literally) by folks in jeans, tshirts, polos. Food was good but overpriced. Service was the best part of the evening. Fine dining is not just about the food. It's about the experience. This place misses that mark.

We absolutely love Christians and wish it were closer to our home. We have been there numerous times and have never been disappointed unless they are out of one of favorite wines.

The food is always masterfully prepared, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere and service are always impeccable. We have had larger groups there or just an intimate dinner for two.

Regardless of the occasion, you can’t go wrong here. Be sure to make reservations in advance as they can get busy.

Tried almost all the fine dining restaurants in Macon this is the first time in Christian. ordered snails and crab cake for appetizer. there were not much flavor in snails, taste plain. the crab cake was alright. the seafood entry was good, however the duck was over cooked. it supposed medium rare. it was over cooked and not as tender as Natalie‘s and the Davetail downtown. overall, service is good the food need be improved for the menu prices. not going to come back.

My first visit to dine with them was super special. The service was wonderful and my lobster ravioli was delicious. However, I was locked outside of the restaurant when I stepped outside. They would not let me back in. I was floored. I posted a negative review and apparently the owner sent me a personal text to never come back
Thank you for posting inaccurate and evil comments last night on social media .
When you went outside past 9:00 pm last night the door was already locked as it is after that time , based on one of our outside security cameras you went to your car to retrieve something and couldn’t get back in , knocking on the door would have not been heard by the remaining staff as everyone was in the back clearing up.
Your behavior was unacceptable and your comments despicable
Please do not ever come back to my restaurant !!!!
So no one should support this type of service and reaction to a my post. ?better fine dining in Macon than this. I actually loved the personal text. Nailed it.

Called to make a dinner reservation for my father in law for Father’s Day. I called and spoke with Paul about an hour later having to cancel the reservation due to my father in law feeling unwell and nauseous suddenly. Paul was rude and asked me why I’m canceling to which I told him and then he hung up on me… this is “fine dining” experience? Definitely won’t be trying this restaurant anymore.
