The food was remarkably affordable and tasted quite good, although a bit more salt on the eggs and grits would have been preferable, but this was a minor issue. The owner was extremely personable and appeared genuinely kind, and I appreciated the fact that everyone seemed happy to be there.

The best place to eat some real home cooked southern food! This place reminds me of my mother's cooking growing up. If you've never tried it, you're missing out!!

Cox Cafe is amazing- and for the price- you can't beat the quality of the food nor quantity of each serving. I needed a to go box! Delicious pork chops, veggies, griddle cake, sweet tea and dessert!

If you are looking for fancy, ride on by. But if you are looking for good country cooking, I mean for real. The cornbread is about 4”round 1/4” thick with the edges fried crispy, complete with the holes. Worth the drive, definitely off the beaten path.

Cox Cafe harkens back to an era before there were chain restaurants littering the landscape. Walking in, you feel like you have been transported back in time to a place where everyone knew each other, and you knew that you were going to be welcomed. Friendly service, warm smiles, and hot food since 1996.

This is not a place that you are going to happen by while driving around. Cox Cafe is located deep in the industrial part of Macon. This is where the hard-working folks come to eat a hearty meal before heading back to work.

We came today based on a recommendation from a friend. We are glad we did. The food was good, and the servings were plentiful. You won't leave here hungry.

What a wonderful experience!

This place has gone downhill. Seems like the people that work there expect you to know what you want to eat. And God forbid you ask them for silverware or something that the waitress forgot. And checking out is a nightmare for such a small restaurant. I'm good, I'll go to famous Mike's before I drive out of my way to eat a ok breakfast.
