I am 56 years old live in Minnesota . Was in Macon to see my brother. We stopped here and I can tell you this burger is the burger that I have waited for for 56 years! Best burger I have Ever had. This place gets 10 stars.

I’ve dined in at Famous Mike’s several times for breakfast, and it’s always been amazing—great food, good vibes, and a nice local spot I’ve recommended to others.

However, my recent to-go experience with a group of coworkers left me disappointed. The cashier was noticeably unwelcoming, which set a different tone from what I’ve come to expect. My blackened chicken sandwich was missing the cheese I paid extra for, and unfortunately I didn’t catch it because I was busy paying and gathering everyone’s orders. One of my coworkers had the same issue, but thankfully she noticed before we left.

The biggest concern, though, was how my tater tots were packed. They were placed directly from the fryer into the styrofoam container without a liner, which caused the bottom of the container to melt. Some of the tots actually fell out, and I didn’t feel safe eating them because of potential chemical leaching.

I still think Famous Mike’s has great food and I’ll be back to dine in, but I hope they’ll take more care with to-go orders—especially when it comes to customer service and food safety.

Extremely horrible service my daughter and son in law went to this restaurant we are in the millennium. Had no disregard to to patrons after service. The server actually harassed them for a tip with horrible service. As a professional service as well as my husband owning a restaurant due to this candid behavior that followed up with hanging up in their faces as well as other family members in the regards of this unprofessional establishment. Uh yeah they will never ever get our money family nor friends and this was totally out of hand .

They had us waiting and standing for more than 10 minutes without greeting us or telling us if they were going to give us a seating. Perhaps they were hoping that we will give up on our breakfast and just leave the place.

Not sure what Mike is famous for but it sure isn’t service. 3 people in the place when we got there. 30 minutes later people were getting food that had just arrived and we never got are order taken. Even more disappointing was what I assumed was either the owner or manager running his mouth with people he know and not actually paying attention to his patrons. Famous Mikes forget about it.

Well where do I start (long review but worth the read). Normally I do not leave reviews, but I believe this place deserves a review. The reason I came to this place was because of the good reviews. I gave it 2 stars because all wasn’t bad. The food was not bad, but I had better. I was also extremely hungry so I ate it and didn’t complain. The pancakes had this weird grainy taste, the turkey bacon was okay (can’t really go wrong there), the eggs were actually great and tasted fresh, the sweet tea was very refreshing, and the grits were okay but taste like they were slow cooked in chicken broth.

Now for the service. When I walked in, no one greeted me which I found strange. And it wasn’t busy as only 5 people were in there. I seated myself per the sign that said seat yourself. Still no one greeted me for about 3-5 minutes. Finally my waitress came and she was nice, but
..nevertheless, I still stayed and didn’t complain. Plus, I was extremely hungry and did not have time to go anywhere else on my lunch break. After I received my food, my waitress did not return to me one time to ask how was the food or did I need anything. When I completed my meal, I started looking around for her and another waitress said “are you looking for your waitress” and I said yes. So she went and got her from talking. And when I say talking, I mean talking. It was another lady behind the counter talking the entire time too “loudly” about how she is accident prone, and how she was in wheelchair a long time ago, and how she broke her tibia, and how she broke her foot, and so on and so forth. It was quite annoying to be honest. The reason it was annoying is because she was so loud while talking to staff members. My waitress was busy talking as well which is why she never came back and checked on me. This place should be called Famous Chat. But anyways, I received my check, paid, and asked for my to go drink to be without ice. However, my waitress brought my drink back with ice smh. When I brought this to her attention, she acted like I did something wrong lol and did not apologize. But oh well, it’s okay, no big deal. I left a tip (could have been bigger if my service was better), thanked her, and left. I still believe in giving something because I once too was a waitress in my past and know how important tips are.

But again, not all was bad and it wasn’t terribly awful service or food. The reason for the two stars is for the lack of customer service and not being attentive to your customer. I get that they were due to close in 2 hours, but still, customer service is key. Also, with my profession being a Customer Service Trainer, these type of things are big red flags to me. Would I return? No, but again all was not bad. Would I recommend this place, yes, if you’re looking for your food to come out quickly.

Omg
 I paid 18.00 for a rib dinner that I would not pay 5.00 for. The food was horrible!! Really wish I would’ve stayed there to eat so I could have got my money back as soon as I saw the food. I spent my money and was miles away so I attempted it. Wanted to take it back (both plates)even though we were back on the highway. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Not trying to be nasty it’s just that I wasted my time and money
 Oh and the brownies
 I spent 40.00 on 2 rib plates and a brownie that I would not have fed my dog. I really felt ripped off
 she knotted my bag up so that I couldn’t conveniently look at it before leaving the establishment.

I did like this restaurant but the customer service I just received was absolutely terrible. The store refused to remake my order because a doordasher stole the first one. Instead of canceling second order they took my $30 bucks & gave new dasher someone else old order named Jermaine . I will not come back or use DoorDash again both are a headache. ( They did not cancel the second order they accepted & took my money!!

Don't order the biscuits and gravy unless you like your gravy heavy with garlic. I even told the owner that we had to send it back. He got extremely belligerent and argumentative. I'll not be going back.
